Hi, I'm new to the site, and kind of don't understand...

i was just curious as to the aim of this website?

i thought it was a discussion board for those interested in/ for jehovah's witnesses, but it seems like you're all former jehovah's witnesses?

so is this site just to bash jehovah's witnesses?

Hello and wecome my-journey.

What do you all believe now? Who do you think knows the truth? Are you still searching, or do you think Jehovah is the truth, Do you think about Armageddon? Do you hate Jehovah's Witnesses?

I still worship Jehovah. I stay away from His people though. As you will find they are very narrow and controling, very manipulating. There is a steady flow of fear, guilt and self-doubt in their literature, public talks and general speach. I also believe strongly that Armageddon is real and is near.

I really did think this site was aimed at Jehovahs Witnesses, but it's just a hate site ...I want to know that I have come into the right religion. I am new to the faith though , and like to look at other religions, as they always seem to confirm that I have just joined the right one.

This is not a hate site, but there are a lot of us who are justly angry. I do believe the Witnesses are God's people, yet like ancient Israel often was, they are over-zealous, unbalanced and sanctimonious. For instance, the more time you spend with them you will see that your continued thinking for yourself is discouraged and the policy of conformity to the organizational views insisted upon! ................................................... I'm new to this site but from what I've read there are people with multiple views that come here and share their feelings. Not everyone here hates JWs. I think everyone just tries to share their views in search for someone to relate to. Being a JW is a way of life. Changing that way of life can be very tramatic and conflicting since it means leaving behind many that you have grown close to. Personally, I can see this place being a support to me because I find others that can relate to my feelings of non-belief in the religion of JWs.

This is a busy week of job hunting again and gardening.

Gardening is good, I don't envy you the job hunting though I hope you find what your looking for.

IMO, God told his Son "Let US make man (mankind) in OUR image..." It is my belief that the Man represents Jehovah while the Woman represents His Son and that the headship arrangement is ONLY for the family unit. Jehovah will always be Jesus head.
Did you realize that the WTS teaches that the "merit of Christ?s ransom sacrifice" has not been applied to the great crowd yet?

Yet, when touched by the woman with the flow of blood, he did not turn her in for breaking the law, he healed her physically, emotionally, and spiritually. When Peter denied he 3 times, he did not have him separated from the other apostles and removed from his position . When it was the Sabbath, he was not afraid to heal people on it. Jesus healed the daughter of a Syrian woman although he had been sent to the Jews.

This can be noted in Jesus? words that exposed the false religious leaders, who burdened the people with heavy loads. (Matthew 11:28-30)

We are to imitate Jesus are we not??

All too many earthly rules, religious or otherwise, exhaust the people with wearisome burdens of endless rules and thankless tasks.

Human rulers seek to establish their greatness by ?lording it over? the people...

And the WTS is differant...HOW???

again, i must say, speaking as an artist & an art teacher at the college level, "this pictures/drawings are of excellent quality".

I have not read the entire article yet(I am not a Witness), BUT the "quality" of the pictures/drawings really sells it! It got me to look at the Awake.

I would like say...Worship Jehovah but keep your distance from His people. At this point in time they are very narrow and controling, using fear, guilt and self doubt in all forms against the congregation regularly. Thinking on your own...really on your own, is not acceptable with them.

I'm begining to think the question is how are we defining 'free will'? I'm begining to think it may be primarily and limited to the choice of chosing God's Law or Lawlessness. Were as life between God and all His creation is a shared experiance.

As the management is changing and getting younger in terms of age, old 'beaucratic traditional culture' is slowly changing to a more relax management style.

A more relax management style? I haven't seen it.

because, although i had been baptized two years before, it was this moment in time that i really saw the love and power of jehovah?s organization.
