  Susceptible to community pressure -- of course, nothing like that happens in the JW congregation subject to making sure they don't "stumble" anyone they head for the low point. We must have unity even if the uniting point is wrong.

  That philosophy is truely 'life paralyzing' and if taken to its ultimate conclusion would cause everyone to literaly stand in place, lest they take the chance of stumbling someone during the course of living their daily life!!

  the general feeling on this website is that all religions have gods people in them.so why does it matter to you all.that you believe you were lied too?you show me a religion that is with out fault?show me a religion that has the total truth from the bible?

  Agreed, ancient Israel did too. They were at one time "God's Organization" and yet what did they do with it and to God's people?? What did Jesus say about those leading them and what ultimately happened to the Nation??? Were they approved by God or dis-approved??? If a blind man leads a blind man...

  My advice to everyone is, "Worship Jehovah, but stay away from His narrow, manipulative, self-righteous, condesending and domineering Organization!"

  My advice to everyone who are still Witnesses is, "Worship Jehovah as a Christian not a disciple of Paul!!"

  the 3/1/06 wt questions from readers is discussing 1 cor 14:33,34 and explains the phrase "keep silent".

  after the usual claptrap and disclaimers (like how sometimes women have to substitute for baptized men in a congregation setting) - it concluded by saying women keep silent by "not raising argumentative questions that could challenge the authority of those who teach.

  " how do the women swallow this stuff and still feel grateful for "rich spiritual food"?

  This is another in the WTS continual efforts to structure the faith around the un-reasonable and un-loving teachings/opinions of Paul rather than the Master, Jesus Christ, to whom they will one day answer too!!!

  THE GOVERMENT AND SHUNNING.....

  after reading the tragedy of puternut, i was thinking that perhaps it's time that the government took another look at what can happen when they allow religions like the jws, to cut off family members without a second thought.

  surely someone's rights to have normal religions with their family should come before freedom of religion.

  isn't it ironic that the gb fought so hard in court to obtain freedom of religion, yet their own members commit suicide when they try to express this very right.

  jesus spoke to jehovah god in prayer.jehovah being the allmighty god.the nt is centered around jesus.thats true but this does not mean jesus is the one we should worship.surley we should all want to pray to the god jesus prayed two

  Shunning as broadly applied by the Witnesses is scripturaly wrong, yet we all shun people we don't want to associate with. Techniquely speaking though, in todays world were emotions rule over logical reasoning, it could be interpreted as a form of Hate Speach or possibly a Hate Crime, which now-a-days is forbidden. A Class Action Suit might have a chance.

  Another shameless guilt trip so the peasants will submit to the WTS will of how they should live their lives! The RF are not fulfilling their Vow of Poverty as every Witness should.

  I wonder if articles (and talks) like these and next weeks ( ...Beware of an Independent Spirit.) are actualy spontaneous or are deliberately scheduled at regular intervals just to keep everyone off-balance and in line.
