  The New Battlestar Galactica

  what ya'll think of the new show?.

  personally i love it.

  although the new "reimagined" series is darker than the original show when it premiered in 1978. the new show makes up for better storylines and the characters looks more real and "down to earth", so to speak.. .

  I agree, it is a GREAT show. I missed the mini-series though, so I missed the cylons taking over. I think scifi is going to show the mini-series again this month.

  JW work situation

  i work for a rather large financial institution in nyc.

  i run a large profit center and manage over 100 people.

  on of my best workers is a dub doing a slow but progressive fade.

  Personal advice since you are in management--do not let anyone know you used to be a JW. If the one who got disfellowshipped was ever reinstated, or he became angry at the active JW, he may spill the beans.

  Protect yourself, people can't keep secrets.

  This is right on the money. If it is found out you are an XJW then any action taken against the practicing JW would be considered biased, no matter how right you are for taking action.

  i got a call from the er last night---hubby had been in an accident and they were running tests and x-rays.

  he was in terrible pain.

  they called back during the night during the night saying he has a shattered sternum and other injuries.

  Ok now i am getting the creeps

  i live in the country on a hill and i know in the country there are lots of birds but for 3 days now there have been a group of turkey buzzards flying over my house non stop.

  as far as i know there is nothing dead in my yard but they constantly circle and circle around my house and getting close to the windows.

  now i shower everyday so it can't be that i smell,,,,,,,,could it?.

  They are probably using the "up draft" off of the hill you live on. By using the draft they can ride it around in a limited space (that is why you they are circling in a limited area) without having to expend much energy in constantly flapping thier wings.

  i decided to take the big gamble today and stopped to visit an elder relative of mine.

  the gamble wasn't the visit, but what i did while there.

  i am many years da'd, but still have a fairly good relationship with most of my family.

  Recommend a film

  no big hollywood blockbusters, no explosion fests, just good films with a decent cast and a decent script.

  definitely nothing with keanu reeves and preferably something that will touch the audience rather than just wash over them.

  timeframe immaterial but quality is important.

  a few years back, there was a whole spate of pics appeared on the web showing jw's grinning inanely.

  a lot of them were the work of the wt artists and featured ecstatic dubbies in paradise locations.

  some of them were "set up pics" of happy bible studies or delighted householders for publication in the wt and awake.. the reason it's come to mind is because of the number of dubbies i see around my home town, especially in the supermarket.
