  Went to a high school class dinner

  last night i went to a dinner of school class mates.

  it was interesting to see many of the old people i knew at school 57 years ago.

  i didn't recognize many of them and when i did i couldn't remember their names.

  I never doubted Barb Anderson's credentials and find it telling that this is used as a point of deflection by those who refuse to see how infallible the WTBS is. "Well... it couldn't possibly be true! Barb Anderson doesn't exist!"

  after finding this forum and being raised in the jw religion, i found jwd a refreshing place for honest feelings, fears, life experiences etc.. the history of the jw's was exposed, and those who lived any experience under this regime has been told by many members.. to be lied to by any forum member is insulting.

  i have over my past year and 1/2 come to love many posters.

  i realize many more have much longer time put in here.. i have been honest and exposed more of my self than i care to think about, but always kept in mind that others were doing the same and it was best for anyone new.. to lie on this forum to all of these members is horrible and i am questioning why i am so honest here.

  i agreed with your opinions of the jws view on higher education and independent thinking that i found on this website.

  Time is the fire in which we all burn...

  interesting actually...time...we all live our lives in the stream of time.

  we go to work raise our families pursue our careers and yet we all burn in the same stream of time...the fire is so short lived we long to discover the other side of our time what is out there what awaits us...i do not know i would like to think there is something else but until our fire burns out we will never know...

  I joined the YMCA last week!

  "please note: if you are one of jehovah's witnesses, you may not join our organization!

  Here's what came out when I was in conversation with my elder father regarding my "no more fading" conversation (ref: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/9/143783/1.ashx) I told him that I joined the YMCA for the pool use and he said it wasn't a DFing offense, but indicated that the elders would be much happier if a member realizes that joining is viewed as a conflict of interest. It would probably limit any "promotions" within the org.
  
  I think anything can be used as material for DFing if the attitude of the JW is on the wrong side of the line or the BOE really have an agenda.
  
  I couldn't even get the DA status from a verbal confirmation.

  YMCA membership

  ok, i know this has been talked about before, but now's a good time to bring this up again.

  my wife (active witness) and i (inactive, haven't attended in over a year) just got memberships to the ymca today.

  it's the only fitness place in town with a swimming pool.
