i'm just curious at how many others might spend time on this website hoping to make sense of it all, despite being brought up or converted to jw after leaving.

i can't seem to fill the hole of my existential crisis after fading out.

the spectrum of atheism to beliving still doesn't fill the gap.

Sylvia Plath (Writer, Poet)

so i picked a book at the library recently containing a few years of sylvia plath's published journals.. never read her before and knew little about her story.. i started reading and felt like i was experiencing another version of myself.. where was i at age 18?

a repressed writer longing to fit into this world.. my first 25 years were sacrificed to 'right around the corner.'.

ever since i've been a budding creative.. still, her words and story haunt me.. .

DA Letter Script - Minimum Requirements?

if i am to write and send the minimal of a da letter, stating that i do not consider myself a jw (baptized as a minor), what do i need to include in the letter to make it valid?

1. who should the letter be addressed to?

(do i need to send duplicates: one to local cong, one to headquarters?).

despite my upbringing in the jw world, missed opportunities, scarce childhood, no holidays, etc.

i have accomplished more in my life since my departure than some have in a lifetime.

i have more than i'll ever need (not talkin' money here) from finding my passions and working hard loving what i do.

I'm going to be a basketball coach!

so i missed out on playing sports in school like i really wanted to.

so hey, the power is in the present and i've decided to stop lamenting about my jw losses, and so i've signed up to be a basketball coach!

... for a little league girls team.

Remember the Movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark"...

... towards the end when the bad guys opened the ark and indiana and his lady were tied to the pole, the spiritual unleashing that came out and killed, no, melted all the bad guys?

i was probably 9 or 10 when that movie came out and it literally scared the cheese out of me in the theater.

i was so glad to be a jw at the time because i felt like i just witnessed the power of god and saw what was going to happen to opposers when judgment day came.
