I would donate all of it to myself. Oh, and I would buy the billboard that stands on the corner of my old KH and have some good apostate fun.

They want $10000 now but I wonder how much the original owner actually donated in the course of their lifetime to get all those books-so sad.

But this whinning accomplishes absolutely nothing. It actually works against you.
The so called whining actually helped me and I don't consider myself to be mal-content. Thank you very much.

He said Wednesday that he told the inmates: "It's 120 degrees in Iraq and the soldiers are living in tents and they didn't commit any crimes, so shut your mouths. "
That's questionable.

There is ample evidence that the Israelites and Christians gave money to support their causes. Money comes from people NOT heaven.
True, but they actually got something for their donations, not just crapy books and lecturing about how they weren't doing enough.

does anyone think they'll go back to where you have to pay for the literature?? From a business point of view, wouldn't it be worth it even if they had to pay the damn taxes?
Once you give something away for free or even a donation basis, it is very difficult to get people to pay for it. Look at the internet, people have always had free email and no one wants to pay for it. Of course, you could slip some ads into the literature.

The U.S. may just have better statistics in their child abuse reporting when compared to Canada.

Tipping the Gal who cuts hair
by Jim_TX inokay... i may act like a hick from a small-town... but... i'm curious about something.. what is the 'proper' amount that one is supposed to 'tip' the gal at the salon.
the one whut cuts the hair.. i've never really had a good idea... and i know that i look like a dufus... fumbling and mumbling... as i hand a dollar or two to the gal.. now... if i'm supposed to be giving something like $5.00... forget it!
i usually hand over 1 or 2 dollars - depending on how well i feel that they did.

It is so difficult to find a good hair stylist. I hate the people at the mall and those Super Cut places at the strip outlets are just scary, you never know who you are going to get. I've walked in many times only to be scared by who is working there, i.e.-very ugly women who have nasty hair themselves. However, then it is awkward, so I pretend I was looking for some kind of styling gel and then promptly leave after declaring that they don't have my brand. However, about a year ago I found this local Italian guy right in town who is from the old country(even his English is bad) but he is amazing-cuts like Edward Scissor Hands, none of that quick electric razor crap. He only charges $12 and I leave him a $3 tip. Oh, and this is the best part, he has one of those red and white spinning barber signs, just classic.

Theocratic Ministry School in the resumé?
by observador ini was doing a quick search on something else when i came across this resume of a fella who seemed to have been a bethelite.
down on his resume under "education", he includes the theocratic ministry school as part of his education.
this is not the first time i hear someone doing this.

He's going to get far with that on his resume.
Basically his resume should be one line
High School.
Which I'm not sure why JW kids even bother to finish High School, the 8th grade should be fine. Because if your not going on to college, there really is no point for schooling say even after 6th grade. No asks to see your High School diploma, your employer is not going to call up your old school and see if you graduated.
