intersting discussion - those saying no racism exists in the KK movie and other flicks remind me of "white" people when i was growing up saying to non-white people whom they "befriended"-
"you're not like other black/mexican/japanese people"
then seeming befuddled when the object of their "affection" suggested that the comment had racist overtones -
hell, how could a simple affectionate statement like that convey racism - and even if it did, it sure as hell wasn't intended to -
which is precisely my point

REVIEW OF JCS "BIG NEWS" ARTICLE
by Oroborus21 innote: the catholic molestation cases have mostly been evaluated under employment law theories not the tort of misrepresentation or under non-fraud related tort claims]; fails to address important legal considerations such as standing and statute of limitations; and finally and most importantly, the essay fails to address in any meaningful way the inevitable constitutional arguments that would be raised by opposing (watchtower) counsel.
supreme court justices do not have the time to browse through law journals and the implication that they would be interested in an essay is even more deceptive.
the society does not cite a 1960 study as evidence that blood transfusions are hazardous.. here is the actual quotation in context:.

ME: I ain't eduardo or steve 2 so sorry if i disappoint - anyway - it seems the answer to your question depends on the jurisdiction under which any complaint would be brought and what legal theory the facts in the complaint could support - e.g., does the legal theory require proof of intent, recklessness, or negligence - my 2 cents -

Auldsoul - also, what was/were the rules of professional conduct that this person was alleged to have violated by posting on a forum?

ME: Wow - when u say "in their" capacity as an attorney do you mean that the person to whom you referred gave specific legal advice on a forum? Or was the person offering general legal opinions? What state was this? I find this quite interesting - can you provide more details - either in this thread or in a personal message? -

ME: Why would you infer anyting about my intentions - I've given no basis for the inference except a sloppy recapitualtion of what "skeeter1" wrote - that slopiness could have resulted from drunkeness, laziness or simple misunderstanding - i vote for laziness
ME: I am under that impression that every scientific paper which is published must first undergo peer review - I did not mean to convey that I believe papers ADVANCED for publication first get peer reviewed - the misunderstanding resulted from my sloppy summary of what "skeeter1" wrote - nonetheless, I still think it funny that "skeeter1" views the process for publishing law review journals as the equivalent of the process for publishing scientific papers - that's just funny to me - not because of the mistaken belief but because of the way the mistaken belief was propounded - like "and, by the way - this stuff is legit and beyond debate because it was peer reviewed just like science papers are - and science is true" - lol -

uhh - okee dokee! - btw, do you sit as an editor on the journal? If not, how is it that you know what Mr. Davis or the other editors saw? Just asking a sincere question so don't get yer panties in a twist. -

Campaign to destroy "lol"
by ballistic ini'm not sure where this idea came from, but apparently it's been discovered that hardly anyone is actually "laughing out loud" when using the term "lol".
lol if they really are laughing out loud, there is something wrong with them (they could be retarded or have a bad sense of humor lol).
please show your support for my new cause in which i attempt to bannish the term lol from the english language.
