  the state's supreme judicial court ruled that that barring same-sex couples from the benefits of civil marriage was "unconstitutional.

  I saw the Gov. being interviewed just a bit ago. He is very much opposed to same sex marriage. He was then asked if he would support civil unions and his response was, well I think we all know that means the same thing as marriage with all th same rights as marriage. I feel marriage and all that goes with it should be between a man and a woman. All the time he was grinning.

  I think this just shows that for many of the opposers this is not just about not wanting it to be called marriage, that they believe they have more of a right to have the legal rights then do gays and lesbians.

  Should Bush Make His STATE Visit To The UK Next Week?

  note that i'm talking about a state visit, not your run-of-the-mill political scenario.. state visits from visiting presidents, kings and queens involve open-top parades through pall mall next to queen lizzie in an open landau, several nights in the best suite at buckingham palace, soldiers and guardsmen in full regalia and banquets galore until the excellent food pops out your ears.

  that's a state visit.

  i don't think that we've had a full state visit from a us president since jfk.. now, our good friend george dubya is expected for a state visit next week.

  Unemployment figures are down But what they don't tell you is what those new jobs ar paying. I can tell you what they are paying around here, 7 bucks an hour if you are lucky. You can not make a living on 7 bucks an hour. I know I am one of those that took a job like that. There were no other jobs that paid more. I am greatful for the job cuz it's better then nothing, but I can tell you I am struggling to just pay my bills and to keep my home.There are no extras. My mother was in a nursing home a couple of hours away and I didn't make enough money to be able to buy the gas to go and visit her. She died and I hadn't seen her for over 6wks because I just flat out couldn't afford it. So they can publish all the figures they want about how many jobs there are but most know that those jobs do not pay enough to make it and really isn't anything to celebrate

  Did you watch it today or yesterday? The guy they had the funeral for raped her. There wasn't enough evidnce to convict him so he was set free then someone murdered him.

  And also, the family can keep a partner from the hospital room of an ill or injured partner. If the family says no way, the hospital has to comply with the family's wishes. Even if the family has shunned the sick partner for years and suddenly shows up. They can still say that this person is not family so he/she can not come into the room and visit and it happens alot.
  
  This will help keep this from happening.

  i was raised in the truth, and until the age of 18, very active(although never baptized).

  i stopped going to meetings and out in service when i came to terms with being a lesbian.

  i just felt like i was wasn't being true.

  I would also suggest reading Crisis of Conscience by Ray Franz. it's an amazing book. And also would suggest maybe your GF read it. It helped me understand my GF alot better.**hugs**

  Requiem for my beloved Aunt Flora

  my favorite relative, my great aunt passed away yesterday.

  a little over a year ago, she suffered a series of strokes.

  the nusing home she was in was close to a thousand miles away, but i went to see her whenever i could.

  Thank you for sharing your thoughts and love for your Aunt. She sounds like she was a remarkable woman.

  My Mom had a stroke in Feb and I identify with alot of what you said.

  Even though I don't post alot, I do read everyday and whenever I see your name I always click on the posts. Thanks again for sharing with us.
