Killing of JW Postal Worker
by prophecor inreading the thread about the jw postal worker killed, made me think long and hard about the truthfulness of what cipic was stating, that the society allows for ones to work in the post office but frowns upon driving a truck for a major company like coca-cola, because the possibility that one may have a route that goes to a military base for instance.
or maybe to a strip club for that matter, i mean the possibilities are almost endless.
what kind of guidelines do they use in such cases?

I'm truly naieve when it comes to what goes on in the truth. I spent so many years trying to get in that by the time I did, I was out so quick that I never got a chance to see the inside for what it was, but is this really a problem when it comes to being employed? I mean what happens when a witness works at a coveinience store and someone wants to buy a pack of cigarettes, or purchase a lottery ticket? Are the lines really drawn with that degree of uncertainty?

It was a very, although, heated, intresting argument that was presented. What truly are the guidelines for those within the walls of the Hall?

Gill spells it out very well, were it not for the courage it took to look into the forbidden zone of what were called apostate sites, I would never have found any relief from the venomous teaching of the WTBTS. Freedom comes at great cost and once found, you need to maintain it. It may be a little scary at times, many here , however, will truly try to help you cross the bridge.

Hi Rune, wasn't raised in the truth but been around it most my life. The breaking free, however, has been no less traumatic, though with time you can come to feel comfortable with being outside. Crisis of Conscience is recommended reading to help clear your vision of all that you may not have known about the truth about " The Truth ".
Wish you well in your new life.

tell me about yourself
by bagpuss in.
in a recent thread someone said that bagpuss was a good name but didn't know what it meant.. bagpuss was a character from a childrens programme in the 1970s and is becoming popular again now.
i chose this name as like bagpuss i am soft, cuddlyand loyal, but will get the claws out when needed.. why did you choose your 'alias' and what does it tell me about you?

The name prophecor is a split between the words prophecy and professor. Prophecy denotes my love for history. The lessons that can be learned in prophecy, telling in advance things destined to take place, and wanting to learn from the failures of those suffering who paid no attention to the prophets.
Professor denotes my love for knowledge and although I may attempt to project myself as witty and intellegnt, I am more like the quirky bumbling nutty professor, "Eddie Murphy" type, or the likes of an Einstein so pre-occupied and self absorbed that I can find myself in the middle of a traffic jam with no knowledge as to where my keys are, Oblivious to the Blatantly Obvious.
