What do you think some posters look like?
by Bubbamar inits funny that when i imagine what other posters look like - i alway imagine them as attractive, fit, well groomed, with bright, shiny happy faces.
i never see them as obese, nerdy, or with greasy hair and warts and pimples.
their noses are never too big - no body has a "comb-over.

News of Englishman
by Belmont inenglishman had his op today and all is going according to plan.
he's feeling woozy and sore tonight, but hopefully that will pass in a day or so.
chris says he will probably have to stay in for about a week, but no doubt he will be posting if he can get hold of a laptop.

Jay-Hovah uh-huh / uh-huh
by prophecor indoes anyone know what the deal is with rapper sean carter, aka jay-z and his refering to himself as jay-hovah?
its a pretty close call naming yourself such by jw standards possibly bordering on blasphemy.
does anyone know if he may've been associated with jw's at some time, and if he was, whether his choosing of the name might be a response to his no longer believing the teachings of jws?

What about Eminem? While looking for news on Jay Z, I also run across lyrics from Eminem speaking about molested Jehovah's Witnesses in his " My Words Are Weapons " tune.
A lot of profanity, of course, but the statement towards the end of those lyrics makes me wonder if he may have once been connected or knew someone who was. The anger in the lyrics makes me wonder about his possible past.

Caleb, what you said really struck me, the new light as way of saying they never need to admit they were wrong, the treatment of those DF'd, fear of those damned apostates if they had the truth, living the truth as opposed to the feigned outward appearance, I feel somewhat the same way about trusting Jehovah on my own as opposed to the continuous uncertainty of the Society's twisting in the wind.

Surprising how many folx have JW backgrounds, while doing a search on Google, I found by chance a little info on Xhibit and how he was raised as a JW as well, his reason for rapping was spawned by JW pasrents who kept destroying his tapes, so in order to prevent them from silencing his love for rap music, he decided he'd just start rapping on his own, can't take the lyrics out of somebody's heart and mind.

Sting, because his music captures the range of where my soul is and has been for quite some time. "The Soul Cages" and the twisted emotions put out during the making of that album are a reflection of what lives in me.
George W. Bush, who's presidency will go down in history as one of the most controversial, with all that changed the world after September 11, but also one who's presidency will have one of the most profound effect and change for this country and the entire world, albeit for good, bad or indifferent.
Al Pacino. The intensity that he brings to the movie screen is just phenominal, from movies such as Scent of a Woman, The Devil's Advocate, City Hall, and Insomnia and a hand full of others, he is what I deem a living legacy.

I come to post because theres a healing of my soul that I'm in constant search of. Its a little different because I wasn't raised in the truth, per say and I don't carry many of the emotional scars that those of you do who are "Lifers", the damage, however, is still felt everyday.
I try to get a little more distance from the pain of knowing I will probably never return to a KH, and the continued uncertainty of my eternity. Its a wrestling that starts as soon as I awaken and finds me even in my dreams.
So I come here, I put my soul in words that truly no one can understand as we do. While placing my soul on these lines, I look to many of you here who are suffering the same fight, the same war, Essie you stated that so perfectly, and I seek recovery here from the many who place their lives on these lines as well. It is truly a blessing to be ammong you all. There is healing going on here.
