just wanted to say hello
by rune ini know i have been quiet for a while... i am sorry my friends, hopefully i will think of something meaningful to say again someday, something we can all discuss and enjoy.
things will never be the same again, and i hope that from this passing shadow to the next you find a piece of what you are looking for.. the tiniest things can make the most enormous differences.... i wish you all well.

Ever Just Have One of Those Days?
by Leolaia in1. so i wake up this morning and realize that my mom is missing.
i called her last night from 9pm to 11pm and this morning i called at 8am and there was no answer each time i called.
if she had been out earlier last night, it sure seemed as if she never came home.

I'm so sorry about the PRIMADONNA attitudes you encountered at that cardiologist's office, Leo! You can really see how elevated and important they consider themselves for being in a specialized field. I understand that many "specialists" and particularly their underlings tend to look down on "just-a-GPs" and now, apparently this sometimes extends to their patients, too.
Terrible, uncaring behavior toward a worried patient!! I can't believe it.
They obviously need to spend more time here, to see just how special you really are!
I hope your ankle relaxes soon and I'm really glad to hear that your mom is okay too. Yes, you definitely had a bad day...and yes, I'm sure I've felt worse about less happening to me than you experienced.

So beautiful! Thanks for posting it pr.
According to the Daily Telegraph (as referenced by Leolaia, thanks!), the photographer is lucky to still be alive.
Dangerously close as lightning strikes
By KATE MURRAY
January 28, 2005
THE first thing Kane Quinnell did after taking this amazing picture of lightning was sprint inside as fast as he could.
The second was to buy a lottery ticket.
Amateur photographer Mr Quinnell, 28, was lucky to escape unhurt after a bolt of lighting hit just metres from his Toongabbie home last Friday night.
"I went out to see what was going on and it didn't look close ? there were stars to the north and no rain so I thought I was safe to go out there," he said. Mr Quinnell took four shots of a blank sky, "then with the fifth shot it was 'bang' ? it scared the hell out of me, I just saw this blinding bolt coming down."
Through the camera lens the bolt looks wide but Bureau of Meteorology spokesman Mike De Salis said that is just an optical illusion: "Lightning is actually very narrow, it's about half a centimetre at the most. What you're seeing is the glow around it."
Mr De Salis said that Mr Quinnell was lucky to be alive.

Elders Wives
by Octavia inever wonder how some of those brothers wrote such elloquent talks?
i just found out ( puternut told me) their wives wrote them for them.
that must be why they always clapped so loud for their husbands!

Candidly sure is a hoot! What a cool riot that girl is.
About the talk writing, my ex was a very good, smooth, polished speaker. Very organized person, with excellent recall. I couldn't have even attempted to write his talks.
No heart, but a very good speaker. Lol.

SORRY
by Yvonne A ini apologise for upsetting most of you by logging onto this site.
i stumbled onto it by accident and stupidly never noticed that it said discussion forum, everyone welcome.
i just thought it was a site where witnesses discussed subjects, and did not expect such a negative response to my naivety.

Did I get caught??
by fairchild ini meant to inform the jw's that i have decided to stop my bible study and to stop attending the meetings.
the real strange thing is that i have not heard anything from any of my jw friends at all in over 2 weeks now.
this has never happened before.

It's also possible that a JW works at Barnes and Noble and accidentally became aware that you had ordered Crisis of Conscience.

Blokeyness And How Do I Get It?.
by Englishman inher ladyship has gone away for the weekend, so i'm home alone, on me tod.
now, i'm quite a domesticated geezer really, house trained so that i don't pee on the carpet and quite capable of hoovering afore she comes back.
however, yesterday i decided to try out what it would be like to be a single bloke, a la me ole mate trucker gb.
-

Well Englishman, Trucker is one hilarious bloke himself! But I'm quite convinced that you are Wally to his Eddie, try though you might.
I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that you snuck back and cleaned everything up as soon as Trucker left, right?
