....JetBlue crew has woman arrested over video of fighting passengers
byJeffrey White Aug 15th 2008 @ 1:00PM
Marilyn Parver of Las Vegas says that after settling the altercation, started by a male passenger arguing with the mother of an unruly kid, JetBlue crew members combed the cabin asking for witnesses. When Parver told crew members that she had filmed the fracas, they brought her back to the galley to view the video. They then asked Parver to delete the footage.
She refused.
As she recounts what followed to a Las Vegas area newspaper, the crew accused her of intending to put the film on YouTube. They said she had illegally operated an electronic device during the flight (though the plane was at cruising altitude).
Crew members then said a directive had come from the captain ordering her to delete the film.
Parver, 56, asked to speak to the captain. The crew refused. They said if she didn't delete the video, federal agents would be waiting for her when the plane landed in Vegas.
They were. Declining to give in, Parver was taken into custody and led off the plane. Somewhere between the plane and the arrivals counter, Parver says, the charges against her had ballooned into taking video footage of the cockpit (because those doors are always open), the galley and other parts of the plane.
The Feds, the TSA and a JetBlue representative looked at the video and decided it was harmless. Still, the JetBlue rep demanded that the video be deleted or Parver would be banned from future JetBlue flights and her name circulated among other airlines as a undesirable passenger.
It all ended pretty badly for Parver. The authorities were about to let her go when she made the mistake of demanding people's names. A Vegas police officer told her to leave or be arrested. She said, "Arrest me."
Parver went to jail -- though it looks like she wasn't arrested -- before her husband arrived and sprung her.
JetBlue Airlines says it is looking into the incident. Parver has sent angry letters to the airline, the TSA and a host of other agencies.Filed under: Airlines, Consumer Activism
I see it differently, AK - Jeff. Parver should have cooperated with the airline personnel's request. Particularly the request from the Captain.
Very presumptuous woman. She should have been truly arrested, and I really hope she finds herself banned from future air travel.

worst Bookstudy book
by darth frosty inwhat is the book you liked the least studying at the bookstudy?
for me it was the isaiah books.
side question which book did you like the best?

I loved all the Daniel Books; I enjoyed the creation books till I found out a lot of it was not reliable; the Babylon books were too complicated, the Revelation book was hard to follow but the pictures were the best - so pretty; and I recall the Isaiah books being tedious. Also I didn't care for the comparative religions book. What was that called? It was red.
I really enjoyed the Commentary on James. Very much. And the Family books were good; just too bad none of it ever seemed true to life among most of our families.

Last topic, ending on a good note.
by wanderlustguy inwow, today has been killer.
this morning started with a bit of drama...but by the middle of the day, i was in shock, in a great way.. yesterday i got a call to fix the paint on an rv, so i dropped everything and went there...frankly because my kids are here and i need the money to have food...yea...that tight.
those jobs usually pay cash.. i did the job, and got offered another one...working for the guy's company which he owns outright.. it's a movie production company and i'm working on-set for a stupid amount of money i still can't believe until i get the first check.

funny kid stories
by JeffT inour office manager and i are always swapping funny kids stories - about her boys, a 5 year old and one born in september, and my granddaughter.
so a few days ago the 5 year old walked up to her and asked in a very calm voice "mommy is motherf***er a bad word?".
when relating this one my daughter, who teaches preschool said that one of her four year olds, while heading for the car to go home suddenly said (also very calmly) "oh goddamn it i left my book in class.
