I actually feel a lot better this morning AND I got a good sleep for the first time in a while
I'm about to go running with my son, Dominic, so that gives an indication on how I'm feeling.

You haven't mentioned a lot about Claire lately. Is she holding up under all this stress? I wondered if maybe the homeopath was treating her as well?

Speaking of the family --- are the boys eating what you and Claire eat? Or do they still eat pizza and fries and burgers, etc.?

Yes, I read the K.I.S.S. thread yesterday. I never thought I could get a chuckle from a chronology thread, but this one definitely did it. It's just devastating.

Glad you enjoyed it. I see it's been well over a year since I posted anything in this thread. Last night I posted some information in another thread about an upcoming article in the Journal of Cuneiform Studies. Maybe I'll go copy it and paste it in here.

Incidentally, the upcoming issue of the Journal of Cuneiform Studies is going to have an article by Stefan Zawadzki on NBC 4897. (NBC 4897 is a business ledger from the temple of Eanna with bookkeeping inventories for an institutional herd. It shows running totals for items such as ewes, lambs, goat hair, and hides. It's significant for 6th century neo-Babylonian chronology because it has inventories starting in the 37th year of Nebuchadnezzar and continuing for ten years, through Awel-Marduk's reign and on into the first year of Neriglissar. There was an earlier JCS article on NBC 4897 by Van Driel and Nemet-Nejat.)

I'm looking forward to seeing what Zawadzki has to say.

I'm glad you liked it. I recently exchanged a few messages on another board with an inactive Witness who had never before heard there was any question about the Society's 607 BCE date. He intends to look into it. I thought about sending him over here, but I just wasn't sure. I had the feeling it would be better to let him do a little independent study first, to confirm for himself what I told him, that there is no secular evidence at all for 607.

Where else would I ever have found people interested in discussing neo-Babylonian chronology with me <s>? I especially had fun with the KISS thread and the Furuli thread last year.

Earnest, if you are reading this, would you believe I finally received an English copy of Sequence of Events in the Old Testament? It came today.

how sorry i was to hear from dansk-he is going through a very difficult time.. i would like all prayers, thoughts, please keep this in mind ____ for me!!!!.

the sad news he has cancer.it is lymphoma!!!

they are waiting on the results of the biopsy before determining treatment..... he didnt want me to say anything at first- as he feels you all have your own problems & he didnt want to upset anyone-because he says "they are dear friends".

It is a testimony to the boundless love complete strangers can have for someone of a kindred spirit. I feel as though I really know everyone who has contributed. They have become family!

I don't post on this board very often, but I feel a closeness to all the others who are rooting for you. It's ironic that the WT recently had an article full of warnings about strangers (I can't remember, but it may have been Blondie who started the thread on it). The members of your former congregation are avoiding you, but total strangers are holding you and Claire and your family in their hearts.

It's a beautiful day here in Maryland. I hope you and Claire had a wonderful day, too.

I hope your story does give Bryan some hope --- I thought it was very moving! I can just picture your dad grabbing you and giving you that hug.

I know you're keeping in touch with lots of friends via email, but I've seen many messages in this thread from people who don't know you well but who care about you and want to know how you are doing. Aren't you glad Gracie started it? I think it's been a beautiful testimony to the genuine love and affection we have in our hearts for you.

(And if a thread's success can be judged by the number of spin-offs which it has generated, then this one's a winner in that category, too!)

I think we are all touched by your willingness to accept our love and prayers in whatever form they come.
