Randy --
>>> My nephew is starting to regain some feeling in his left arm, but he is bruised all over his body <<<
I know some people don't think much of homeopathy, but I've found that arnica montana cream and arnica montana by mouth do help with bruising and pain. That, and really large ice packs, the huge blue gel kind that physical therapists use.

Randy ---
I am so sorry to hear about your nephew and your good friend Rob. How are they doing?
Everyone ----
Today an orthopedist checked out both arms from shoulder to fingertips, along with my neck, and confirmed that the only fracture I have is the right elbow. He was amazed that I was not more seriously injured. Both arms and wrists are hurting very badly (off and on) and I can't raise my arms or bend my elbow to eat, but I can type and turn pages <s>. Two doctors have now told me that there is quite a bit of ligament damage which will take rather a long time to heal.
Thank you all again SO MUCH for the support and the lovely notes and pictures.
Hugs,
Marjorie

Dear Ian ---
Thanks for posting all the information --- I know I am not the only one who has wondered what your day is like. You had mentioned jogging in an earlier post (maybe a month ago?) but I did not realize you were exercising that much every day. I am seriously impressed!
Now tell me --- what's with the homeopathic drops in "shallow water"??? Is this one of your British expressions? Does it just mean a small amount of water? Surely you don't mean that you spread the water out in a saucer so that it is shallow <s>?
As long as you are posting an update, let me ask --- have you been back to the oncologist lately? Have you told him exactly what you are taking every day? If so, how did he react?
(I figure we all want to know, so I'll be the one to ask <s>!)
Lots of love to you and Claire!
Be well!

Dear friends ----
I am speechless! I can't believe how many of you took the time to send notes and pictures and best wishes.
Ian --- you dear man --- what am I going to do with you??
From the email I sent to Ian yesterday:
>>> Now --- don't worry, but I was in a doozy of a car crash this afternoon and have a fractured elbow and assorted aches and bruises and sprains. A woman ran a red light right in front of me as I was on a divided highway going at highway speeds. I had no way to avoid hitting her and then I ended up down in a ditch, narrowly missing a utility pole (thank God!). The airbags deployed and filled the car with smoke (the paramedic on the scene told me there is a small explosive charge which detonates them) and they couldn't get my door open at first. They had to get a ladder because the right side of the car opened onto a steep ditch filled with water. The other woman seemed basically ok. I hurt all over, but the thing that hurts the least is the fractured elbow. I will be seeing an orthopedic specialist this week and I will also see my chirporactor tomorrow morning.
I am assuming the car is totalled --- but the good thing is that we were going to have it painted and had obtained a few estimates but hadn't yet had the work done. It would have been annoying to have smashed up a new paint job <s>! <<<Things hurt worse today --- I can't lift either arm at all, and I can't bend my sprained wrist and fractured elbow enough to eat with my right hand. On the bright side, maybe I will lost weight !!! I dropped half of my salad into my lap tonight. Hee hee. It doesn't hurt toooo much to type, and the good thing is that I can turn pages <hooray!> <sigh of relief!!!> The bad thing is that I can't work the lever on the right side of my recliner.
The trauma has messed up my blood glucose (I am diabetic). Unfortunately, I normally control my diabetes with daily exercise (water jogging), which is going to be out of the question for a few days (at least).
To those who asked about my getting back in the saddle and driving again --- as soon as I can turn the ignition key <owwww!> and can move my arms enough to feel that I have control of the car, I intend to be back in the driver's seat.
Love to all,
Marjorie

New 607 info?
by startingover ini just discovered something i have not seen anywhere before.
i was looking at my old "all scripture inspired" book, and i say old because it was the first edition from 1963 and i had used it for years.
according to the wt cd there were revisions in 1983 and 1990. i came across this little goodie under the book of daniel.

Hi, Startingover ---
PMFJI. According to WT teaching, the "second year" of Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 2:1 is really his "twentieth" year. So by their way of looking at things, there is no contradiction in the two statements you posted.
You might be interested in a thread from the summer of 2003 which covered this (and some other points of chronology) in some depth. Starting around the middle of page 7, the discussion continues for many pages.

You will see that Scholar was arguing that "kingship" and "reign" have different meanings. I posted lists of verses where the NWT uses "kingship" and "reign" to translate the same Hebrew word, "malkhuth".
Earnest had a very good explanation of WT teaching on the subject of Daniel 2:1.

I know I don't write as often as I used to, but there are times I feel worn out. I'm not in severe pain, just discomfort that makes me feel a little rundown.
Ian ---
Don't ever feel that you *must write. We all understand that you need to use your strength to take care of yourself, and that some days you just may not have the energy to spare.
Hugs,
Marjorie
