Well Hello
by RichieRich ini've received several messages from friends about posting an update here.
it is true there are people here who care for/ about me, and it doesn't take too much time out of my day to just post a litte update, so i figured i would.
i heard from a little birdy with a big nose that my name has been mentioned once or twice around here, and that prompted me to stick my nose in.

the unkindest cut of all?
by chickpea innever believing that a foreskin was a birth defect, i left my sons intact...( called genital integrity in some circles).
what, if anything, makes circumcision less of a mutilation than fgm?.
dont kill the questioner!!

I don't know. My son was born on the east coast, delivered by some wonderful Jewish doctors. At the time, I was super young and inexperienced ... and it was presented as your son's circumcision is scheduled for ....
It was a routine thing and, as his dad was circumcised, I never gave it a 2nd thought. The biggest explanation I can recall was for hygiene purposes.
If I had a son now, I wouldn't do it. -

NPR has produced some wonderful, thought-provoking segments on this topic. I'm sure there are others, here are a couple I've enjoyed.

Singledom - the peaks and troughs?
by Crumpet ini have almost completed the first year of my adult life (since 18) as a bachelorette and was wondering what others' experience of singledom is?
what would you say are the advantages to being single (other than being able to pioneer .
what are the things you miss the most about a relationship?.

A&W - I can't count how many people have told me about that same experience throughout my life (drastic change of mate following marriage). Kind of makes one reticent to consider marriage ... although personally I don't see the need for marriage at all any more. If anything, it provides a good reason to stay lovers ... maybe that keeps partners on their toes? dunno ...

Sweetstuff, that is fanf*ckingtastic!! absolutely GREAT for you! I wanted to use my 2000th post on something positive and how much more upbeat can it be than the first experiences of new love?!
I should have added *snuggling* to the list. A lot of guys shudder at the thought of snuggling, just think of it as potential foreplay fellas ... the end result might make it more worth the effort, eh?
Crumples, I think you need to choose half a dozen take-out joints that deliver and start rotating. You never know who might ring your bell, so to speak ....
