  Did You Know Many JWs that Were Always Depressed & Sick?

  IT may be that our own minimus is depressed. How are ya doing Minnie? At times I still get depressed and I have been out for 5 years.

  Judicial Committee Preparation

  recently a friend inquired about how to best prepare for a judicial committee hearing from the prospective of the subject individual.

  Some did not have much of a choice in becoming a JW if you were raised one. Some became baptized before becoming aware of the hypocrisy.

  As far as going the route Marvin suggested; I figure as much as one can protect oneself from slander and harrasment by the WTS the better. Why let oneself be roughshod run over by a bunch of goons thinking they are God's gift to mankind. Make them think a little, at least I hope some of them will.

  I think the suggestions made by Marvin are good in that they at the very least will intimidate the elders into possibly leaving you alone. In the event they do disfellowship you and in the process slander ones name in the community etc, it will afford more of an opportunity for legal action by documenting the process by the taking of extensive notes. It is a win win situation either way. The more elders run into this sort of thing the more it will make them think and reconsider just what in the name of God they think they are doing.

  even if you say you're not a believer in "god", if something bad was happening, would you ever give it a shot, and ask (jehovah) god for help??

  Judicial committees - Scriptural basis?

  i just found an interesting statement in a watchtower article that is going to be studied soon.

  although not the theme of the watchtower (which is why we should attend their meetings) i wondered if this was a subtle attempt to make a response to the argument that there is no scriptural basis for judicial committee meetings.. .

  Maybe There's a Heaven...

  i don't often open up discussions on my beliefs or experiences in life, but i feel a need, so please excuse me if you feel it untoward.

  neither is this a poxy swan-song, i'm just opening up my heart a little.. today i had cause to reflect on a conversation i had with my [now ex-]wife shortly after my epithany.

  everything was so new and unknown.

  The heart does not have reactions of this nature. It can be affected by adrenaline. Humility is something cultivated i would suppose, but some people by their very nature have more humility than others. So while one may show more or less humility it would be a cultivated action. More an act of will I say.

  Very Interesting Terry! Thanks for sharing. I too felt at one time after leaving the Witnesses that somehow God had called me out of them. I have no idea what happened now.
