  Prayer to the Holy Spirit

  this is a touchy topic for some because of strong beliefs about god's nature.

  many believe that the nt bible is a law book, designed to give us exacting instructions and formula on what to do and not to do.

  on prayer to the holy ghost (holy spirit), the new advent says:.

  What is the difference between praying to dead saints and martyrs and trying to communicate with the dead. If you feel they both can hear and answer you. Have any of the saints answered you or do you by faith think there is a slight possibility that God will more likely listen to your prayers if you ask others to hound him about answering your prayers. Does God think twice about answering your prayers if he hears others in heaven pestering him for answering it besides just you? Do you feel God keeps tabs on how many times he is asked the same prayer over and over again to decide to answer or not?

  it is on the latest commercial for journey diamonds....have you seen it?.

  very romantic and moving.....after much research it is sung by dusty springfield.. i'm still trying to figure out where i am going.......what are your plans?.

  I tend to agree with you folks so far. I tend to feel justice is man made or a construct of man to keep order and not something we are trying to emulate as an inherited trait from a God source.

  HELP! Trying to convince my parents I am going to meetings!

  a few weeks ago i posted about about how my parents have been asking about wether or not my card has been sent to my "new congregation" since i moved out in july.

  up until now, i have been stalling not knowing wether or not i wanted to just come out and say "i have not been going to meetings" or not take any action at all.

  well someone left an interesting piece of advice on my thread that i have been contemplating doing.that maybe, perhaps i should just have my card sent to a congregation that isn't anywhere near the actual city i live in.

  I can see what you are saying little toe, such as in the event that your wife asks you if she looks fat in this dress and you say no but what this particular individual was asking is sure to be found out and could cause many ramifications in the future when they find out the truth, which they surely will.

  If one knows for a fact one will be eventually be caught up in an all out lie, I think it best to tell the truth or refrain from saying anything in the first place.

  I admit I am not looking at the situation only from her perspective. I would be a very poor adviser indeed if I did so.

  I agree 100 percent! I am curious as to know exactly what Little Toe thinks her perspective is.
