"his dad was three feet away at a pay phone," zittel said.

Princess did it!!!
by Mulan ini just had a phone call from princess, who is in phoenix az for the rock and roll marathon.
it was her first full marathon, and she finished, which was her goal.
she came in at about 4:30 hours.. she had a bit of knee problem, but finished it.

That always killed me, too. Someone would always make some comment about the expression on someone's face, or the particular clothing a person was wearing, or some item shown in the background of a room scene, as if it were part of the factual account. I'd just sit there thinking, "Are you out of your mind? It's a goddamn illustration! The account doesn't contain any of those details!" But I never heard that type of comment corrected.

by Euphemism ini just found out that the elders announced meia's and my disassociation at the service meeting this week.
they'd called me on monday and told me that they were going to; i fired off an appeal letter the next day, and hadn't heard anything, so i thought they might have postopned the announcement.
i just found out, however, that the meeting was held on monday this week because the other congregation had the co's visit.

Sorry to hear it worked out that way. It's so strange that they can arbitrarily announce that you have disassociated yourself. It would be like a tribunal meeting to determine what color a person likes. You'd get a little letter that would advise you of their decision. "Hey, honey, apparently, I like blue!"
I'd be interested in knowing how things work if you decide to take the legal route. Would you sue for alienation of affections? How does that work?

And, the nap-level is aligned purr-fectly with owner SNG's desktop, allowing cats to "help" with work, without becoming a mew-saince.Pretty cool, huh? My neighbor and I built this thing today. We traded out the time - I helped him re-install Windows, and he helped me build this! As it turns out, the carpet is what takes the longest to do. We had the thing...um...framed in less than an hour. It took several more to deck it out in the plush berber you see illustrated.
Hopefully now my cat will be able to keep his watchful eye on me as I work, without actually lying all over the keyboard.

I was all pumped when I hit the 200 mark, because I thought I'd be moving up to Senior Member. But when that that glorious post came and went with no fanfare, I resigned myself to having to wait a while longer. Sigh. Feels kind of like waiting for Armageddon. Maybe it'll be here at 250? 275? Do we reach perfection when we get to Emperor Class?
