I just had a phone call from Princess, who is in Phoenix AZ for the Rock and Roll Marathon. It was her first full Marathon, and she finished, which was her goal. She came in at about 4:30 hours.
She had a bit of knee problem, but finished it. The kids spotted her at mile 26 and ran onto the course and ran alongside her through the finish.
Wow - good for her!
Way to go!
Would have liked to been there and cheered her on too.

Damn 26 MILES!!!

She took an ice bath when they got to the hotel, on advice of her doctor. (she consulted before she went) Evidently many take a hot shower which would feel really good, but is the worst thing you can do. When I talked to her, she was re-hydrating and trying to eat, but not feeling much like eating.
Otherwise she feels good!!
She gets home tomorrow afternoon, and this thread will be a nice surprise for her.

I'm meant to be doing a half marathon for charity in september, but because of my knee injuries I'll probably end up walking/speed marching all of it. Good for you!
