  I was pretty good at giving talks, making convincing presentations of WT doctrine. But the one thing I just couldn't do was Daniel 4 + Revelation 12 to get the 2520 years to 1914. I got that Daniel 4 was supposedly one of those "minor/major fulfillment" prophecies. But what legitimate reason do we have to connect that particular chapter to Revelation 12? Just the reference of the word "time" and the fact that, lo and behold, there are three and a half times mentioned in Rev but seven in Daniel? Is that it? That's not a very good connection. I hated having to explain that to people.
