  personally i believe that 607 is not the right date, but here is another point of view.. does 607 or 587 or 609 or 586 or 1914 really matter?

  The important thing is not the date, but that 607 is an act of faith, which sets the WTBS apart from everybody else.
  They could have chosen any date (and did) and then wrapped a load of nonsensical mathematical calculations around it to prophesy anything at anytime they wanted to. The average JW takes it all onboard without question, as they do with the rest of the garbage.
  Arguing 607 with a JW is like broken pencil - absolutely pointless. It's the "we know we are right and have faith" syndrome and no amount of logic, data, facts, archaelogy, scripture, reasoning, diagrams, evidence, Babylonian tablets or Jewish history will convince them of anything except you are an apostate SOB sent from Satan.

  A ? for all the computer geeks out there

  ok, so my computer was being real slow and had a bunch of viruses and what not.

  so i had a friend who fixes computers clean it up for me.

  now whenever i go to this website on my pc its all messed up, no avatars, no member info, no graphics, i cant post anything, etc.... so does anyone have any idea how i fix this?

  Have you played the WT-CD on the PC? It has the Theocratic virus on it - it stops apostate sites from loading properly on your PC.

  i know there are mostly ex jw's on here.

  i just wondered how many of you are ex jws, left or df'd, how many are still in but have lost heart?.

  are there any jws on here who still believe its all the truth, go to meetings and trust the organisation?.

  Born and raised a JW. I was never really interested, then DA'd in 1984. Parents still in.
  
  I am now atheist to the core. If there is a God who is interested in my worshipping it, it could have bothered to make it apparent.

  According to Dictionary.com one definition of a prophet is:
  
  - A person who speaks by divine inspiration or as the interpreter through whom the will of a god is expressed.
  
  That really sums up the position that the WT likes to think of it's self. A divine prophet of Jehovah.
  
  So the argument is not about whether 1 date was prophesied or not, but whether the WT is the true interpreter of Jehovah on earth today.
