  Jehovah's Witnesses really are JERKS

  very early this morning i was driving to work.

  i live out in the country so usually it's rare to see anyone walking down the road esp.

  at 6:30 in the morning.

  trying to be a hero more like. you should have backed up and chased him in your car, hahaha, at least he would get there quicker than walking, and he would have less time to count.

  How many near death scary stuff happened to you?

  did you ever think that you should have died.

  i mean like scary stuff that happened to you and wonder why you are still here .

  i have had so many but the one's that stick out of my mind are ,when i took my son ( who was 16 at the time ) for a drive in my 1968 charger, when i heard a pop, i was going up a hill and all of a sudden flames started to shoot out of the hood.

  i've been in a lot of car accidents as passenger and i never wear a seatbelt, some have been bad ending up with car on its side and totally wrecked, but i have never been hurt.

  i was once flying down the highway on my bike last year, at about 160 mph , i was trying to see how fast i could go (as you do) and someone pulled out on me, i came within inches of me hitting them at that speed, so i guess i would have been dead, it was one of those adrenaline rushes.

  then there was this time a herd of cows chased me, ha ha ha

  another thing which was this year when i was in africa i was out in the ocean in a bit of a sharky area, and i saw fins, i didn't know what to do, then as they came closer there were more, i realised they were dolphins, about 40 of them they came right by me and all sides, that was quite unnnerving because they are big up close.

  i'm sure i have been near death through lack of sleep too, one time i didn't sleep for a long time and was so messed up that i started hallucinating and seeing the basil rathbone sherlock holmes standing in the doorway, that was when i knew i needed to sleep, i also remember having total memory loss that night, it was like amnesia and like my brain could not absorb anything, did not know who i was or where i was, this was more scary than anything because i did not know if it was really happening, it was bad, in the morning when i woke up i had to ask the girl i was with if i had really been that gone, and i had, that scared me more than anything else.

  so, just because one has an "assured expectation of things hoped for," that constitutes faith?

  i have some friends who are jw missionaries in the south pacific, they are midway through relocating from a larger island to a small island that is only accessible by boat. they will be the only jw's on it.

  on thursday i was late

  but the other days felt great.

  i got a call from brother jones.
  he told me they'd a sheperding plan.
  then wednesday night who's at my door?
  'but the window cleaner and post man!

  i think damn, i'm in for it now.
  the shephards have come to visit.
  quickly i turn the tv off.
  because a-team re runs are way too explicit!

  as if i give a shit what they say.
  i just nod my head and silently contrive.
  how stupid they are to think that this wolf.
  would let those shephards leave alive.

  What is The Elders Index???

  i was recently scanning through some wt letters and i came across something interesting regarding the elders index.. basically the letter outlined that the new index was to be kept safe, a copy given to each elder, but otherwise not to be copied with a special emphasis on not putting it into a computer in any form.. from what i read the index is a document that each elder can keep one copy of, containing all the policies etc, and how to deal with things, and it wasn't referred to by any other name than 'the index', which is why i think it might be different to the elders book.. anyways this letter went on to tell criticise elder bodies for not using the index properly, saying that many elder bodies write to the society with questions on policy which are covered in the elders index, if they used it right, basically it's an efficiency thing, they want the elders to use the index instead of wasting bethel time by writing in, when most policy issues are covered in said index.. has anyone heard of this document/documents, the elders index?

  Where did you draw the line?

  with the promise that a few of those who saw 1914 would also see the end of this system of things, where did you draw the line, and say the 1914 generation has passed?.

  naturally some born in 1914 are still alive, but not many.

  does this mean that the 1914 generation as taught by the witnesses is still plausible?
