  the catholic portion of poland's 38.6 million population slipped from 95 percent to 90 percent during the 1990s, the office noted.

  Do you think people take the bible too seriously?

  i know the bible has a lot of important lessons in it, but such a controversial book that is likely changed and such is quite a bit to live your life by.

  i mean, how do you know that daniel wasn't a constant opium user?

  I know the bible has a lot of important lessons in it, but such a controversial book that is likely changed and such is quite a bit to live your life by. i mean, how do you know that daniel wasn't a constant opium user? or how do you know that the bible is complete? how do you know that the bible is taken symbolically or literally? hell, there's so much, from euphemisms to individual interpretation. so why do people take the bible so seriously when its almost the same writing as if i go wrote on some TP when i'm takin a poopy....

  keep in mind i was never a jw.

  in christendom's churches, i am used to the breaking of the bread and the wine; crackers or loaf, chalice or teeny plastic cups, grape juice or the real thing.

  i squeeze my eyes shut and imagine the sacrifice jesus made for us; consider his body for a moment, both the one he sacrificed, plus my fellow church members, also part of his body.

  personal experience - very boring. you pass around stale crackers and wine which is usually cheap grape juice. show them what you are and take huge bites of the bread and drink the wine and see what they do =D

  Congregation is building a new KH

  up front at the weekly tcs meeting they are commenting about how much money they've rose for the new kingdom hall.

  but i was thinking about how they get all the money, and if i understand it correctly, they raise money and sell the old kh property and give all that money back to the society.

  then from there, the society gives out a loan w/ like a 3% interest rate, and on top of that, takes the title to the kh and puts the kh in their names.
