getting involved with a witness girl i know that i'm a good man, and that i treat my g/f with the upmost respect that she deserves, but no matter what i don't think i have the strength to get her out of the organization because her whole family is there, and all of her friends. this blows.............. kinda makes me wanna go blow up the brooklyn HQ, or else go give mr. hendschell's car a good firecracker (w/o him in it of coruse)

What Regrets Did You Have Because You Were A Witness?
by minimus inone of the biggest regrets a person might have is that they let their children become involved in the whole jw "thing".
you know---everything from the elders always cornering them to "investigate" something or even having the parents "turn in" their own kids......is there anything that you especially regret?

Were Most Of The Elders "On The Ball" In Your Congregation?
by minimus ini think most of the elders relied on the "smart ones" to help them out.
my experience was that there was probably 2 or 3 "sharp ones".
the rest were dopey!

most of the elders i've dealt with are old guys with grudges because my g/f is one of the hotter girls in the congregation and they're pissed off about it. its whatever they want to think, if they do things from the bible, its out of corinthians, or else they'll twist the scriptures to show that i'm a fockup.....stupd bastards

the most important thing to understand is......how to get really really drunk right before you go to a meeting and see the looks on the elders and ministerial servants =) other than that, all the lies

What are the WTBTS's biggest lies?
by outbutnotdown ini've been out for about 10 years and, to be honest, i have begun to worry less and less about what that org.
but in eman's recent post, "you have one shot", sirona mentioned about all the lies that the wtbts have told.
i have read c of c, but my memory is fading on what some of the more blatant lies that i recall from that book and other articles.. just in case i have an encounter with a jw who may actually be considering leaving but wants more support/reasons to leave, can people help me by refreshing my memeory on the biggest lies that they have told, that would catch their attention the quickest?

oh, another one of their biggest lies........the annointed are teh faithful and discreet class. they have roughly 8,000 left. They are supposed to be the ones to provide the "meat in due sesaon", yet only 12 of the annonited do this, which leaves out over 99% of the faithful and discreet slave sitting on their asses doing nohting....

Jesus & God is not the same

tyre - lol,i wasn't referring to michael being jesus because i don't believe that in the least bit, i was referring on giving a 1/2 way decent arguement for UK because he needs help on his arguements =) i totally agree that Michael was a created being. The bible says that Jesus was firstborn of all creations. but what a lot of people don't get is that the definition of firstborn in greek means that he comes before all creations, which means that he wasn't created. anywyas... there's not really any proof supporting the trinity in the bible to the T, but there's not any proof denying it, its a personal matter really.

Witnesses coming Saturday... I need HELP!!!!
by Globetrotter ini got into a rather heated discussion this morning with my unbaptised but raised jehovah's witness wife.
we discussed so many things: feb 1 watchtower article on 607 and 1914, the un, beth sarim, blood, god's mouthpiece here on earth, etc.
this was yet another attempt on my part to try to plant a seed of doubt.

quick word of advice, don't go scripturally because JW's don't read the bible ;) all you needa do is if she's actually your wife, ask her if you've given her any reason to doubt you in the past. and then just be up and front and tell her that you have a guilty consience about not speaking up about her, and how you can't stand seeing her taken advantage of. I have an extremely guilty consience beacuse i see all of this going on and i'm not speaking up yet. So just tell her, be truthful and if you have to, show texts from WT that support the fact that they really don't know what the hell they're talking about. np

you know what
by U.2.K. Tha Greate$t injust sitting here thinking it's possible that the end could infact come in our life time.

what yall think, are you giving up hope or are you praying that it would come?

In terms of the end, i believe the end is near as far as the world's 4 some odd billion years of existence. Is the end near in our lifetimes, probably not. All we're told is that we don't know, but it will come at a time when we least expect it (jesus' return), so whateva. When i was a kid i remember going to every meeting and hearing the elders saying the end is near, the end is near and we need to be prepared, which translated into my mind as i'm not going to live past the age of 13, i'm ont goign to have sex, i'm not going to be able to drink, i'm not going to be able to "play" with my friends (the list goes on and on). So IMHO, who cares if the end is near or not. we're told that it would come at a time when we wouldn't expect it.
btw, UK, are you a wannabe prophet =P having visions in dreams and all =)

heh, lies, all lies!
#1 they constantly change doctrines and try to hide behind Proverbs 4:19. i.e. there was the romans 13 light where russell believed in the higher powers to be secular government, then rutherford changed it and said that the higher powers were god and jesus, then franz changed it back where it was secular govt (jehovah was just shizzin with us according to them to see who would stay faithful to his organization =P)
#2 the UN-NGO scandal. anybody that knows anything about politics at all knows how much power one can gain by being part of the UN. You have major hookups with a lot of big politicians, you have a lot of say in whatever country they exist in, and you have a lot of power for distributing. They tried to cover it up by saying they wanted a library card to one of the UN depositories (sp) which everyone knows is a bunch of BS because there's too much paperwork to get just a library card.....
#3 They lie about 1914 because they have so much invested in that time. When they finally got that time stable (in the mid 1940's) they put the faithful and discreet slave, the annointed, jesus' 2nd coming and everything on that exact date....which has already been proven false, but they will just call the rest of the world liars because they are like a kid that can't be proven wrong.
#4 Their rules. They use a lot of OT rules which equals Mosaic Law. They continually say that we are out of the Old Covenant (mosaic law) because of Jesus' ransom, but they still enforce Old Covenant rules, such as blood and sex. They also 1/2 way enforce Old Covenant rules like adultery. For example, in Mosaic Law the person that was guilty of committing adultery was actually put to death.
There's just so many insane things. If you ever run into an elder from one of their congregations, ask them to explain the Pharisee's to you and see what they are about. Keep in mind that JW's exert rules and control over their people to keep them obediant to an organization (which isn't religious love at all). There's a lot more thats messed up, but i'm sure everyone will share =D

well if you wanna get technical the JWs are apostates because they left the teachings of their earlier presidents. CT Russell was a freemason and believed that you could get precise calculations out of prymids in Egypt and Rutherford was just a drunk dumbarse that had to control anything and everyone he could. Read up on Jehovah's Witness literature and you'll see. One of the funniest things was a book that Rutherford published called Paradise I believe that still admits Christs first presence was in 1874 =)
