  London mosque surrounded by armed police

  according to the news a london mosque has been surrounded by armed police and a man has been shot dead on a london train

  This is starting to make me feel physically sick. I only work in central London on Saturdays now but it involves a long commute on the underground.
  
  Even before these bombings started I was paranoid on the tube and would often change my train if I saw someone odd looking (and there are many odd looking people down there).
  
  I do not want to give in to these people though and know statically nothing is likely to happen but I still get the willies big time going down there.
  
  I also get my mainline train into London at Luton station on the Thameslink service. During the 7/7 Bombings my wife was on the very same train as the bombers coming into town.

  I did not go into London this morning but my wife did. She had a conference in the centre of town. She got to Kings Cross at 8.50 she should of then got on the Piccadilly line heading west but because her mainline train was delayed coming in, took a taxi instead (Very rare).
  
  I dread to think what could have been if she took the tube instead.

  UK & IRELAND MAP

  i had an idea that i could build a uk map of everyones location which would show you instantly who is in your area from jwd.. (it might be an idea to do a seperate us one aswell but i'll wait and see if this one takes off first, or if anyone from the us wants to volunteer to do that one).

  (and australia but you are all in the same backyard anyway - literally!!!).

  anyway, all you have to do is post or email me your username and town and i will draw you on the map above which will change gradually to include everyone!.

  reading the latest copy of empire magazine my eyes are suddenly drawn to the letters from readers section and particularly to an inserted picture contributed there in.

  Reading the latest copy of EMPIRE magazine my eyes are suddenly drawn to the “letters from reader’s” section and particularly to an inserted picture contributed there in.
  
  The picture is of the Biblical David and it is taken from the Watchtower, the text (from EMPIRE) is as follows:

  I’m not sure which Watchtower its from but the question must be asked. Has Tom Cruise been working as a Watchtower model?

  I saw Van Morrison at the Cambridge corn exchange a few years back. I was a Witness at the time and tagged along with a recently converted Irish chap and his sister. He bought a T-Shirt after the gig and we spent the journey home debating if he should throw it away because he found a cross in the artwork.

  amazing documentary on tonight on channel 5 (uk).

  daniel was interviewed on a uk show earlier today, and he is amazing!

  he learned to speak a language in just seven days (and was fluent in it).
