  How often does the average person get a JW to there door - not often!

  Where I used to live they used to call every two - three weeks. Where I live now I haven't seen one and I have been here for about 6 months. Strange really, two towns very similar in size (200k) and about 40 miles from each other.

  it truly is amazing how you can turn your old watchtower books into good money on ebay.

  makes you want to go back to the kingdom hall just to raid the congregation library.

  What if God IS a farce?

  that would really rock my world as i know it.

  after i initially left the jws' i did question the whole "is there a god"" especially when you look around and see all the atrocities - the sick sick things happening in your own back yard.then i put it out of my mind and carried on believing in a god.. right now i choose to believe in a god, whether that god be jesus, jehovah, buddha, allah, shiva, it doesn't matter - i'm happy with the idea that there is a spiritual & powerful someone running things.however lately i've been questioning again - so many posters on here that are atheists really make good arguments & i can't reason my way out of it.. why does god keep so quiet?

  why not just let us know - tadaaaa i'm here.

  I would like to believe that there is a God who is looking out for us. Why does he remain silent? Who knows. Maybe that's the test, the doubt tests our loyalty. Or maybe belief in an afterlife is a evolutionary mechanism to keep us sane whilst breeding and nurturing the next generation. Who knows.

  I hate Pot Luck

  this friday, we're having a pot luck at work before we all go on holidays for a week.

  i hate pot luck, especially when it's at work.

  i gave my wife heck for throwing out that open package of crackers that was sitting on top of the microwave for the last couple of months.

  Its a place to offload all your pictures and make them viewable to a degree you define to friends, family and the world. Its also a bit like myspace, Facebook etc. with groups and interaction and stuff.

  Describe Your Sense of Humor

  i think posting on a discussion board can tend to come across in a certain way, personality wise.. i'm the type of person "in real life" that is usually considered quite funny.

  i have a very quick wit and i can usually disable someone rather quickly with a facial expression, smile or definitive body language.

  of course, you can't see those things here but you might notice a person's humor (or lack of it) by how they post.. so what tickles your funny bone?
