Did anyone in the UK see it this morning? Good discussion I thought. They had the boy brought up by the Spry women who gave any witnesses watching a little discomfort with their pre meeting/service breakfast this morning. Also Richard Dawkins who always makes for good debate. Anyway here is the post discussion message board for anyone interested.

I was a little disappointed with this new series. There were some very silly bits, like when they were waving to the granddad on the hill from the Tardis. The trailer for the next episode looked good though so I will reserve judgment.

Void of Fear!
by R.Crusoe insee if you can retrace as far back in life as you can remember!.
list fears that controlled you as a person growing up and into adulthood - which you now think of as nonsense!
i was scared to visit the toilet in the night and used to race from my bed to the bathroom and back again!

I don't remember any fears like that as a child. However move to my late teen and early twenty's and the floodgates open.

what kind of epitaph do you want?
by Hortensia injust thought i'd carry the funeral thread a little further.
what do you want them to carve on your tombstone?
i'm inclined toward the smartass epitaph, something like "what are you looking at?

One that remains at the conception stage.

What Was The Silliest "Offense" That You Were Counseled For?
by minimus inwhen i was a teenager, i was told by an elder that because i smiled a lot and was known for my good sense of humor, that i should come across as "more serious".
so before i was appointed a ms, while in my late teens, i transformed myself into a much more "serious" brother.. were you ever told that you needed to work on something that you knew was stoopid?.
-
Peppermint
Straight after the public talk the elder who gave it came up to me and asked me why I was staring at him so much and if I had a problem with what he was saying. I was speechless.

Be Fair = Witnesses are NOT a cult!! What about Christians or democracy?
by Witness 007 inpeople like to throw around the cult word when describing the watchtower society.
but look at the definition of "cult" and you will see it applies to any system of thought concieved by an individual or group to control others.
are christians a jesus cult...yes.

"Peppermint, substitute a replacement word for cult which defines the ethos of what JWs do to leavers and their lives!
Please don't try agape cuz I dont buy it!"
R. Crusoe - I made no judgment about Jehovah's Witnesses in my post but I agree with you, they ruin peoples lives - Thats why I'm here. I am just saying sometimes the terminology can get in the way of the argument. I choose not use a word that has been hijacked often for the wrong reasons.
