who has not heard of the so-called doctrine now that you are an apostate?
so why have witnesses never heard of 'doctrine', yet apostates seem to promote it as the last word on witness standards of honesty, integrity and decency?

These are nothing but 'word' games. Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
My JW Mom was dying. There is NO question about the immediate reason --- lack of Oxygen. Her organs were shutting down...smothering to death. My mother had signed the "Blood Card", but was NOT specific about blood 'fractions'. My non-witness father was trying to to respect her wishes, yet keep her alive, too.
A group of 'only' JW family members AND the Elders Hospital Liason Comm. had a secret 'jw only' meeting. It was decided that my father was to be kept out of the 'loop,' he would NOT be told that 'some' JW's could take blood fractions -- like hemoglobin. They 'felt' he would be confused about 'some' jw's could take life saving hemoglobin with a good conscience -- but, others could not.
A WT sanctioned "lie by omission" murdered my mother !

Another WT/GB lie: What's the difference between whole red blood cells and hemoglobin ? Our resident Dr. Evil Force says, a red blood cell is 95 - 98% hemoglobin, the remainder is largely the cellular membrane. So, a red blood cell, basically = hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is what makes blood work, because that's what it is !
How many JW's have died because of this lie ? This twisting of what is true...?
Slim, you just have to see this organization is not honest, individual members...sure they try to be. The 'captains' like all leaders are the ones responsible for -- mis-leading. They should pay dearly.

Thanks for all the info. I was just talking to a JW about all this and explained to them that hemoglobin, for all practical purpose...equals whole RBC's. So, 'why' is there a difference to the GB ? Why aren't they simply clear, one way or the other ? Why so much confusion ?
I got the "Newer, brighter, now a little dimmer, flickering Light..." speech.
It's also amazing how many JW's STILL opt for the strictest "No blood of any kind," no fractions, no 'stored' blood, as in heart/lung & kidney dialysis.
Do any 'undercover' Elders have any stats on what percentages go with the "Old or New" schools of thought ?

Hey Doc,
She had lymphoma a long time, the Drs. missed it. Her bowel perforated at a weakness around the mass. They operated to repair it. She only lasted a few days, the infection was under control, she had not received chemo...there wasn't enough time. They did say the cancer had spread. They used all the usual JW 'blood expanders', NO hemoglobin. They tried every medical trick to get her O2 stats up, but in the end they said she needed red blood cells for the oxygen.
I don't know what happens to the red blood cells she had in this situation. I guess she was already anemic ? Blood loss because of perforation & surgery ?
My non-jw father was trying to respect her wishes, so when the docs asked about hemoglobin and other blood fractions...the "JW Elders Hospital Liasion" guys told him only one version -- that ANY kind of blood products would be a sin to his wife.
THE ELDERS AND MY RELATIVES TOOK IT UPON THEMSELVES...TO KEEP MY FATHER IN THE DARK ABOUT WHAT 'OTHER' JW'S COULD TAKE CONSCIENOUSLY, WITHOUT FEAR OF DISPLEASING GOD OR THE WTS.
Wanna know why ? They did not want to 'confuse' him, ya' know, some witnesses could do things with a clean conscience, that others could not ! They were afraid that might make him and others thinks Jehovah's Witnesses did not really have that much vaunted --- unity !
To keep an illusion of religious unity alive -- someone has to be the martyr...
My dear mother had to die -- for that !

How to implode your local congregation

I like the suggestion about using the "WT writing style" for instance, since I am fading, but, not DF/DA what I hear most from JW relatives is,"Have you been stumbled by someone in the KH?"
I think that would be a good lead-in title for 'specific subject tract'. I think the majority of people who leave, like me, leave disgusted at the hypocrisy and lack of 'true' love among JW's. For me most of the doctrines, except blood & shunning, were not the big deal, although for many it is the reason they left. The MAJOR reasons why JW's leave need to be identified, then tracts could be designed to address those concerns.
