  Remembering my Dad...

  today marks the third anniversary of the passing of my dad.

  age 79. heart problems, stroke, and then burst artery in his heart.

  one of the most painful ways for a human being to die.. despite our disfunctional life, i remember the good and let go of the stuff that brings me sadness.

  Anointed in JW's midst?

  in your time with jw's did you meet any of the 'anointed' ?.

  i have met a number over the years, and they all seemed very normal, intelligent, balanced, loving people.

  i've met a few obviously 'bogus' ones too.. my question is (atheists, agnostics, and god/bible basher please ignore and move on to another thread): what if there are genuinely anointed christians in jw's midst?

  well my study is over,the c uircut servant and his wife were certainly good.

  every point i brought up was shot down in flames using the bible.i felt stupid not being able to defend what i really believe... oh well better luck next week.

  my wife asked me that question yesterday and i really didn't know how to answer that.

  for quite a while i knew this religion was getting more bogus by the minute but i'm not sure what defined "it" for me.

  One episode that stands out: After many many years of abuse by my dad my mom told the elders about him One of my dads favourite things was to march around the house (outside) Saying :those @@#*! Jehovahs witnesses">It was so imbarassing with the neighbours looking out there windows. So the elders came and told my mom she should be a better wife My mother who never missed a meeting or going in the service was told she should be more submisive.End of story

  i have always found the topic of blood/hematology, fascinating, and even moreso, the discussions regarding: rh compatibility.. are you rh negative?

  if so, do you know your alpha designation: o, a, b, or ab ?.

  even if someone is not interested, nor willing to take a blood transfusion, if you are a woman, and you are rh negative, and your husband/partner is rh positive, you can bet your bottom dollar, it'll matter in the near future.
