I have a booklet by rutherford called prohibition
Its all about how god wants you to drink and people who ban the sale of liquor are unscriptual
this recently concluded sale on ebay prompted a question on nature of the secondary or ``collectors'" market for old and out-of-print wt literature.
apparently, it's become a fairly well-established collecting speciality.
as do collectors in the more established collectible sectors of, say, coins and postage stamps, one would imagine that in time the players would sort out issues relating to ``fair market values" of the various old books and other material, their relative rarity, etc., and that collectors guides, reference sources or price lists would begin to turn up.

on another tread this point came up.
scotsman posted a comment about a certain poster being gay, and i do not know or care if this is true or not, and in conflict over the fear of dying at armageddon for this "sin".
do any of you fear the big a because of your lifestyle?
ditto cicatrix
Scaring people about armagedon is no differnt than other religions scaring with hellfire.
some of you know that we live way out in the country, deep in the woods of northern mn.
one of the great things out here is the abundant wildlife that we see everyday.
last week we had a huge porcupine in the yard (which our four year old calls a hamster.....lol).
Beautiful birds!
what is the name of the first one with the red on its chest?
seems the more contact i have with the wt the more angry i get.
please bear with me.
there are more issues at hand about which i posted earlier.. i cannot give updates on these delicate matters for fear of serious repurcussions.. some of you might remember what i'm talking about.
After getting the internet I decided to search it for answers to those questions as well as another "seed" planted in my mind by the same couple about Mexico and Malawi.
Blondie, Is there an earlier thread on this? I dont know anything about this (Mexico &Malawi)
despite the parents objections, a duval county, florida (jacksonville area) judge ordered blood transfusions for a baby born prematurely.
interestingly, even the aclu did not side with the parents.
see "judge overrides parents on giving blood to baby.
Its nice to see the courts looking out for helpless infants
i just finished commenting on minimus' thread (oh man, i hope it was his thread now...not enough coffee yet to be fully brained today...).
anyway, it was the thread on how everyone was choosing to leave/has left from the org.
i hate with a passion the fact that i was judged while in the wts.
You are now unassimilated ,nice to meet you
i found this on the official jw site:
conscience
jehovah's witnesses avoid making rules and regulations beyond those provided in the scriptures, and they do not follow traditions that contradict bible teachings.
Hi Corvin here is an interesting quote i found on a jw site:
first of all the structure of the organization is such that the governing body only answers to God, we the "earthly things" have no right to an apology, in their view they answer to jehovah and jehovah alone. The precedents for this are, king david made no public apology for his gross error and neither did moses, both men were judged and punished by God directly. The annointed governing body believe themselves to be the representatives of christ rulership on earth.
Now we no why they arent accountable
thanks all
SF thats a good post, lots of reading thanks
i was recently viewing an online fellowship for ex-jws who still love jehovah and wish to tell others about paradise earth.
