  I went thru something similar to you awhile back.I felt lost like my whole world was pulled out from under me.

  It will get better just take one day, one hour,one minute at a time.

  I am so much happier now that I ever was before.But it was like I had to go thru hell first to get where I am.

  the details of who to send a gift to will be getting pm'd to you all either friday afternoon or saturday morning!

  according to the information i've found online the last posting day for standard parcels is dec 11th for usa and december 15th for the uk/europe, so you should all have plenty of time to select and send a gift, although sending sooner rather than later is prefered.

  can everyone taking part post on this thread what things they like, what their interests are etc so that the person who is buying a gift for you has some idea what to get you.

  The need for "Fellowship"

  it seems to me that a recurring theme for exiting witnesses is not their questions of faith (most have researched mightily before coming here, or had their own crisis of conscience), but the lack of fellowship that will happen if they leave.

  it feels good to be part of a group, to feel wanted and needed.

  the problem arises when that fellowship is not based on you as a person, but by what image you present, or how much you "produce".

  My dog Chianti and I go to a nursing home twice a month to visit. It is amazing to share with mature adults who still have sooo much knowledge to give.

  I always leave with much more than I feel I have ever given there.

  Being a JW Woman - Was It Really That Bad?

  i have seen quite a few posts from many ex-jw women about how unhappy they were about male domination in congregation.

  was it really that bad?

  when i was still a jw, no one ever told me anything to that effect.

  It had nothing whatsoever to do with my decision to leave. I think women should be put in their proper place.

  ????? Hmmm what exactly does that mean? I think it means you are easy to wind up... Hmmm maybe so.. it did hit a nerve for some reason.
