If Jesus presence is invisible they might as well make him invisible in the invite for celebrating his death. -

by Littleleslie ini just wanted to know, when do the jws begin to study the 2014 publication called: "god's kingdom rule" at the local kingdom halls?

What about it woke you up?
Actually dissecting the generation teaching in the first chapter. Technically I only got through the first chapter and moved on to Crisis of Conscience for chapter 2. I was "in" like blinders on "in" and the light just went off instantly. The flip flopping was clearly just a bunch of guys guessing.

I have no clue but "studying" that book woke me up. Hopefully people really study the history and don't miss the glaring issues.

Are they either leaving or going full on 'cult mode'? No quarter.
by punkofnice init might just be me imagining things.. i hear things from my jw spies.. from all that's being said, it seems to me that the rank and file(tm), are either waking up to the scam and fading/leaving.
they are going full on 'cult mode' and acting like 'spiritual police'.. is it just me and my imagination?
have others noticed this?.

Playing witness advocate:
This is fulfilment of the prophecy Jesus gave about love of the greater number cooling off.(or will mean this at some point if they want it to)
There you have the witness cycle of reasoning keeping people from waking up. The GB has a lot of angles covered so I wouldn't get too hopeful.
Any brush with the witness world brings reality back. It's still just as crazy and powerful as when it had us all under it's trance.

Amazing YouTuber talking to JWs
by Listener ini recently came across a female youtuber called "bridget azaz".
she has made a number of youtubes recording discussions that she has had with a number of jws.
she does an excellant job and i thought i would make mention of her here.there appears to be another youtube site that either she or someone else has created with a couple of her interviews which have been touched up from the originals on her 'bridget azaz' site.this is one of them and i think you will enjoy it.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkescwpafmu&feature=em-subs_digest.

Disassociation Announcement
by Paul Bonanno indid anyone experience a disassociation announcement during the public meeting instead during the service meeting?.
in my case it was announced the next day that we submitted our letter and this was on sunday instead of waiting for the service meeting on thursday..

I waited months. Elder bodies are different. Some are strict with procedure, some not so much. Unless the CO is sitting there in the audience it's irrelevant unless a regular jw in the congregation is going to go out of their way to rat on an elder for making an announcement on a Sunday instead of the mid-week meeting.
In my experience barely half the congregation shows up for midweek meetings but news like a DF announcement travels quickly. Maybe it was just a mistake, who cares, be free of them!

From yesterday WT, don't have kids and if you do then don't see them often nor the grandkids either
by purrpurr inunbelievable paragraph in yesterday's watchtower was "encouraging" the sheep to not have kids.
most of their growth comes from the born ins and they are still on about not having kids?.
then it went on to "encourage" those that do have kids or grandkids not to spend to much time with them and instead to spend their time serving kingdom interests!.

I think this is an extremely clever paragraph by the WT writers.
1. Witnesses will continue to have children and the writers know that. The amount of couples foregoing having children is probably not too many. I doubt it is even measurable or they have statistics to back it up. They just know that some couples have chosen to do this.
2. It is the same guilt trip they always use. One example that is very extreme (not having children) and an example that isn't very extreme (increasing activity during the memorial season).
End result: hopefully some witnesses will feel guilty enough to make some sacrifice for the good of the organization (money, time, skills).
That is ultimately what they really want.

The Watchtower are Right About Blood...
by cofty in... but, they fail to take note of one important detail.. i believe that if we are going to have any chance of reasoning with a jw about blood, this is the place we need to begin.. don't try to convince them that it was only a dietary law.
it wasn't, and they will never go along with it.. don't tell them that saving a life is more important than obeying a law, even a seemingly trivial one.
they take pride in obedience.

I'm trying to play devil's advocate here:
If you receive blood from an unknown person, that person could die, and then the blood you received from them would need to be poured out, which would be impossible since it is mixed with your blood. Now Jehovah hates you and you can't get into paradise.

"It's the demons..."
by pale.emperor inone thing that really frustrates me inside is how quite a few jw's (especially my family) actually believe that demons like to inhabit second hand vases, or clothes etc.
my sister and mother are so bad with this that they wont even talk about it - because even talking about it "brings demons into your home".
so any attempt to show them that it's unscriptural is shut off with, sometimes them literally going "lalalalalalala im not listening".. i used to believe it myself (why wouldn't i?, i was told by my mother and father it was fact).. what i'd like to point out to anyone that would let me debunk it is this:.

I had a ridiculous conversation out in service once with a Ministerial Servant, 2 elders, and my wife. I brought up the topic because I had heard a group of crazy pioneer sisters talking about not doing yard sales because you never know what is linked to demons.
I asked the group what their thoughts were on it. They were all adament that you should steer clear of 2nd hand items. And these were some of the more logical witnesses I knew.
So I pull out my phone and go to the Insight book and read it to the group:
Insight Book under the topic DEMONS: http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/pc/r1/lp-e/1200271624/14/0
"Though evidently restrained from materializing, they still have great power and influence over the minds and lives of men, even having the ability to enter into and possess humans and animals, and the facts show that they also use inanimate things such as houses, fetishes, and charms.—Mt 12:43-45; Lu 8:27-33; see DEMON POSSESSION."
I then read the two reference scriptures. The reference to "houses" was talking about a person, not a literal house. There was no mention of fetishes or charms. Hence, there were no "facts" to show anything. I then asked them their opinion. Then they started with the stories that they heard.
I said "That is fine. You can choose to believe the stories but normally we just go by what the scriptures say, and I don't see anything about possessing anything other than people."
