sometimes i look at the world and i think "man, how much longer can it go on?

" sometimes i think perhaps armageddon will come in my life-time.

the one scripture i always think of is the one in revelation where it says that jehovah "will bring to ruin, those ruining the earth.

I guess I thought that I did answer your questions. Most people view Harmageddon as a bad thing. Do you consider it to be bad for justice to be acted out upon wicked people, on behalf of righteous people to be bad? Many people find relief when they learn that a murderer is caught and apprehended. I do not sound out these warnings because I dislike people, or because I hate them. On the contrary, it is because I care about people, and don't wish anyone to perish needlessly. Many blessing come after Jehovah acts upon the wicked. This is a good thing and not something to cause fear or anxiety. However, we do have to go through a period of time where everyone upon the earth is tested. Prove to God that you love Him, and are willing to serve Him. You then have nothing to worry about....................

Brownboy, at what point will you concede defeat of your worldview? At sixy? eighty? If you say NEVER, your bold statement cannot be effectively challenged, since you could conceivably go to your deathbed, believing. On the other hand, if you have a date in mind, I will offer a challenge. I will write you a letter, stamped and sealed, to be delivered on your Armageddon day. You may do the same.

I would also be interested in any answer you may have to my questions,

How does believeing in Armageddon help us to be better human beings?
Does Armageddon-faith help us to look out for the good in people?
Do we strive to improve the lives of the people around us, when we believe that Armageddon is just around the corner?

I have had the pleasure of chatting with you on occasion. I know that you have a great heart, and feel that you are willing to help people whenever the opportunity presents itself. And I have to say that my answer would be "NEVER" because that is what I believe. I can't say that I know when Harmageddon will occur because that would contradict what the bible teaches. If you care to, you can send me a letter with the date of March, 2005 as a turning point of world events. This is based upon a 42 month period of time from the September 11th attack. As far as what the belief in Harmageddon does, it just serves as a warning to people in order to allow those that choose to serve God an opportunity to prove their faithfulness to Him. I stand in behalf of my God when I make these postings, as He is deserving in all His righteousness, and leave it up to everyone else to make their own decision.

But Jehovah is in truth God. He is the living God and the King to time indefinite. as jws we learned the utmost central watchtower doctrine that jesus returned "invisibly" in 1914 (well it was 1874, but then j. f. rutherford decided jesus really, really, really returned at a later date ... this is also known to jws as "jesus second presence" (greek: parousia = english: presence):.

It is apparent that this war has lead to much controversy, and has caused divisions among many people. This year is extremely critical, and will determine what happens in the months to come. Where is this all leading to? What do you think the outcome of the entire situation in the Middle East will be? I still believe in God, and anticipate that the outcome will be according to prophecy. When I first begin to visit this site, I was thrown off at the amount of people that have lost their faith and have decided to believe in nothing...........but anyway, this is everyones choice, as we all have free will. This is what I anticipate happening in the near future. Of course this is pure speculation, and I don't claim to have the ability to predict the future.

I believe that this war in the Middle East will lead to the final war of Harmageddon.

"And after the sixty-two weeks Mes·si´ah will be cut off, with nothing for himself."And the city and the holy place the people of a leader that is coming will bring to their ruin. And the end of it will be by the flood. And until end there will be war; what is decided upon is desolations. (Daniel 9:26)

Bush will lose the election to Kerry, or will be made to leave office by impeachment.

Kerry will reconcile the Allies that Bush has lost during his campaign in Iraq and gain the trust of the people in the Middle East region.

This will lead to a period of time that the people of the world, and the Middle East, will feel that the governments have acheived world-wide peace.

Now as for the times and the seasons, brothers, you need nothing to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know quite well that Jehovah?s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. 3 Whenever it is that they are saying: "Peace and security!" then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman; and they will by no means escape. Christ will begin to reign as King, and will stand up on behalf of whomever are the chosen people of God, under the promises made to Abraham.

This will be the beginning of the great tribulation, and the final war at Harmageddon.

And there will certainly occur a time of distress such as has not been made to occur since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape, every one who is found written down in the book. 2 And there will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up, these to indefinitely lasting life and those to reproaches to indefinitely lasting abhorrence (Daniel 12:1,2).

We can all compare notes next year, unless the whole world is in turmoil..................meanwhile, I will prepare for the great war...............have a great day.

Prayer - did it work for you?

i could never get a handle on prayer - oh i prayed a lot.

i begged jehovah to help with certain things.

nothing.. and then i felt guilty.. and then i felt frustrated.

What do you pray for?

The first step in having you prayers answered, is doing your best to become righteous. Do you allow Jehovah to dictate your every decision? Your decisions that you make have to weigh upon a righteous standard. The most difficult part of making a righteous decision is standing up for righteousness sake, even is it causes you to suffer. You will have your faith tested, and if you prove yourself loyal to Jehovah, He will never allow you to stumble. This is where your faith comes into play. Do you hunger? Do you have a roof over your head? You must be content with the minimal things in life without the pursuit of material possessions. Do you show love to others without selfish motivation? Are you willing to help those in need?

These are all basic bible principles, which are taught by Christ. And yes, your prayers will be answered if you ask to become more righteous, and to have a better understanding of the things taught by Christ. Once you accomplish these, than you will see the acts of Jehovah before your very eyes, in answer to your prayers...............I am a witness to this.

For a certainty it will occur. If you take time to browse the internet you will find that most, if not all, religions are on careful watch for the events currently taking place. It is for certain that Jehovah is acting in our time period. And if you study your bible you know that this is a glorious time period, as those that follow God and His principles look forward to a righteous planet earth. Many choose to ignore these facts and will be caught sleeping. This is a bold statement, and I stand behind it 100%. For those that choose to ignore Jehovah, it is time to repent.............................while there is still time.

I will sit back and observe the will of Jehovah come to pass. The only way I would take part in war is if I knew that it was for Christ, or Jehovah. Otherwise the one that lives by the sword will die by it. I have no pity for those that choose to go to war. It was their personal choice. Let everyone reap what they sow. We will soon find out who Christ will stand on behalf of. I for one will never place myself in opposition to Christ..............have a great day.

Clarification...............

I meant that most on this chat group have left the WTS, for the most part. I am not part of the WTS. The comments that I make are from the bible, and from what I have learned. Feel free to correct my thinking based upon the scripture. I have not posted any disputable teaching......as far as I know.......but keep in mind, those that are not willing to forgive, will not be forgiven. Simple choice.
