  i became part of the internet community around 2000, and one of the first things i type into google's search engine was "jehovah's witnesses.

  " i was presented with an amazing number of websites devoted to jehovah's witnesses.. i clicked on one site, which really led me to a posting on a bulletin board.

  at that time, i was a believing dub.

  so how's things been going this weekend?

  for us it was good to catch up with an old friend http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/69086/1.ashx.

  the autumn weather days are fine and sunny with a light breeze - and the light is simply gorgeous at this time of year!

  I really used to like listening to the "Kiss the Son" one, which goes on to "Lest god be angry and you perish in the way" "Happy are all they that put their trust in him today"
  

  It is shocking that there are only 7 about Him Jesus that is, got my song book out and you are right, of course. Not that I didn't believe you but had to see for myself

  The only saving grace about attending some of the meetings, was the songs, and then not always.

  Send a great big G'day to an aussie visitor who needs sympathy right now

  right now there's a friend who needs a friend in sydney.. you've all 'been there' and can help him thru' it.. what do you say to someone who knows in his head that the borg just isn't right, yet was brought up "in the troof" and so knows nothing else.. then the borg's inhumane judicial procedures can cause unspeakable mental anguish and emotional disturbance.

  yet at this time there's simply no-one to turn to - a recipe for disaster.. so....would you give some words of reassurance to our new friend?

  tell him what it's like to be free of the borg.

  Hi..You will be okay, better than ok, hard to believe but true. Maybe not today, but you will be soon.

  Keep reading stuff on this site and others like it and you will heal. Others might try to pick at your healing wounds but try not to let them.

  my friends and daughters say that i am more relaxed and i seem happier in my own skin.

  which is just great, but when i first started reading stuff here i was a quivering mess, i was in shock, but spending more time researching things are now slotting into place.. .

  i just thought i'd like to start posting as i've been visiting this site for some time.

  it's hard to believe that i'm actually doing this seeing how i am a 4th generation jw.

  my great grandfather was a contemporary of russell and my grandfather was on the board of directors of the society.

  The shock of finding out that the WTS isn't what it seems must of been extra awful considering your family history! But your families exit will make others think long and hard?

  Will you be attending the memorial? or is that a silly question?
