Isn't it great to be a kid!
by Evesapple inmy son matt at felger park in chicago this afternoon.
so, happy and carefree with not a care in the world...it's so educational to see things through his eyes once in a while, to re-connect with innocence....there's no drug like it in the world :)

I bet you could win an award with this picture--maybe you should send it in someplace. I know my local news shows a photo of the day pretty much every day on the news that someone had sent in.
I never thought of that! Great idea, my mom won an amateur photo contest in a local newspaper once, she got 3rd place....

Everything is exciting to them, it's like seeing things for the very 1st time, you gain a re-newed appreciation.
Besides, I get to go sliding in the snow, ride bikes, etc. and I can get away with it, because she is there, too. LOL !!
Exactly!

What do you feel when you see groups of Jehovah's Witnesses on the street?
by nicolaou inregret, anger frustration?
how about sadness, sorrow, sympathy, understanding, even yearning!.
it can be quite confusing at times.

On a beautiful Saturday morning and the ball parks across the street are filled and the sounds of kids screaming and laughing, playing on the swings, chasing eachother....and then I catch sight of a group of witnesses doing street work and a little girl handing out tracts, and I can't help but think 'damn, she should be in the park playing with the rest of the kids' and I can relate to her, because that was me. I get a little queasy feeling in my tummy, take a deep breath and think, 'I'm so glad that's over'....as a I let my little boy run in the park and enjoy being a kid.

my little boy had it, but it was due to enlarged adnoids and tonsils, he snored like a little old man and the scary thing was when he would stop breathing for several seconds. He has since had his adnoids and tonsils removed (at 16 months old) no more snoring and he sleeps through the night. It's inherited, my dad also had it pretty bad. He also ended up having his tonsils removed and adnoids as well as lengthening his tongue, the procedure grossed me out so I can't even explain that part of it (he's 60). It's a very serious condition, I wish you luck on any procedure you choose and I hope you can eventually get a good nights rest.

What Can You Do To Hurt Jehovah's Witnesses The Most???
by minimus ini would love to see jws "get out of her" and save anyone from getting involved with the witnesses.
what do you do to make this a possibility?

People stay in the religion quite often because "they have no other place to go". Same reason some people never move out of a house.
Exactly! 'They are comfortable in their own uncomfortableness'.
Furthermore any doubts that may creep into their mind (meaning when they exactly experience thinking for themselves), they are told it is demons getting into their head. I used to think that, I could actually see things more clearly the further I moved away from it. It's like looking at a picture, you can't really see it if your nose is right in it, but if you step back far enough you can see the whole picture. The challenge is getting them to step back far enough without them fearing a fall. Good luck! Atleast some of your family is thinking more clearly unfortunately my parents and my sister are still in, and there comes a time when you just have to accept that they may never change.

dropped wife off at convention this morn...
by tetrapod.sapien ini just got back home from dropping my wife off at the convention this morning.
i took the day off of work so i could celebrate the occasion of freedom from mass-delusional-cult-think-programming.
out on the porch, sun shinning, birds chirping, scotch in one hand, demon haunted world in the other.. as i was driving my wife to the convention grounds, she thanked me for all the help i had provided her in getting ready for the convention, and for driving her.

Great post! I can so relate to that feeling of freedom. Perfect song to come on the radio....I remember stepping outside of the KH after they said they'd disfellowship me and the stars seemed to twinkle more brightly that evening and I could actually breath again....
I do hope your wife comes around and sees it for what it really is. It sounds like she really appreciates you and the love that you have shown her...I'm sure she has been fed many negative thoughts and ideas from her JW 'friends', she has to be able to see their hypocrisy. Good luck to you and your wife!
