thanks, I'm just so proud of how maturely she handled it....honest and respectful at the same time....and she's only 13. Sometimes they just surprise you that way.

I'm so proud of my daughter....
by Evesapple ini'm talking to her online right now, she's at her dad's house in new glarus, wi.
he's still a witness and she spends a great amount of summers with him.
evidently they had a deep, emotional heart to heart about religeon and jehovah's witnesses.

I'm talking to her online right now, she's at her dad's house in New Glarus, WI. He's still a witness and she spends a great amount of summers with him. Evidently they had a deep, emotional heart to heart about religeon and Jehovah's Witnesses. She told him that she doesn't want to be a Witness and that she'll go to meetings with him, but if she doesn't want to go, she shouldn't have to. He told her that he just wants her to learn about God and that he understand her not wanting to be a JW, but when he was out of the organization he was very unhappy but now that he's re-instated he's happy again. So, she told him "Dad, I am happy not being one, and everyone sees things differently and believes in different things, and it's not your fault, it's not moms fault that I feel this way, it's just the way I see things." he told her he just wants her to be happy....and she said "I am happy, and I enjoy life and celebrating things like b-days and holidays"....
Evidently the conversation got started because the CO had a talk w/him, and he wanted to get more serious about "the truth" and wanted Morgen to get serious with him....that's when she put on the breaks and said....no way Jose.....
I'm just so proud of her, for being so open and honest all on her own. I tell you I've never tried to influence her way of thinking, and have always encouraged her to stay open. I love her so much.....
Anyway, I just had to share that.

Were You Treated With Respect When Counseled By The Elders?
by minimus ini knew a certain few elders that really got off by "talking down" to the "flock".
many elders were pretty nice guys but a few could turn----just like that!
what was your experience with "those taking the lead", the "loving shepherds"???

I think it depends on the personality of the elder....some are on a real power trip....

Your worst Watchtower Study ever?
by Celtic inwhat article was it when you were a witness that was the most complicated for you to understand?
i remember that there were a right few beaut's, dad being the wt conductor, of course we had to go through the finer detail getting to the most indepth meaning and how it linked up.
hmmmmmmm.. what was your worst watchtower study ever then?

All of them bored me to tears....read paragraph, ask question, answer: re-paraphrase paragraph, maybe read a scripture....
Total spoon feeding....

You're Spain!
You like rain on the plain, as well as interesting architecture and a diverse number of races and religions. You like to explore a lot, but sailing, especially in large groups, never really seems to work out for you. Beware of pirates and dictators bearing bombs. And for heavens' sake, stop running around bulls! It's just not safe! -

Ban on baby strollers at DC's
by razorMind in...is that at all the district conventions?.
did that rule come from the society or from a safety law on the books(fire hazard)?.
if i take a baby stroller to the dc will i get kicked out?
-

You may be able to however bring an umbrella stroller or something that's compact enough to fit under your seat....something to find out....I'm quite sure that may be allowable.
