lol i never was....i was the shy retiring type, pretty much kept to myself.
a loner.
I was always bad asked to many questions ie: why can't we bury our dead even if they are df'd isn't the memorial for the living? They can no longer lead us astray can they? Why are child molesters treated better than someone who smokes? Why do the elders not go in field service? and so on and so no!!!!

for me it was the belief that all people who refuse to become jws are intrinsically bad.
if someone doesn't accept the "truth", naturally it's because "satan-the-devil" has hardened their hearts.
when you're a dub, you tend to ignore the ramifications of this.
We were people of special possesion. God ordained us to speak to the nations.
And Speak I did hours and hours and hours and so on!!!

upon my helping my family to leave the watchtower religion, my then 20 year old daughter made this observation:

My my daughter quit attending the meetings at age 17. When I left the org when she was 25 she told me that the experience at bethel had changed her mind that this was God's organization. We were checking into the Standish hotel in Brooklyn as bethel guest and one of the GB walked up and started telling off the brother behind the counter. (Dan Sidlick) My daughter was floored by the hatefulness of the interchange and that was it for her.
