I asked an elder once concerning self defense and or guns, if he would fight to ward off an intruder or take his life in the event of a threat to his wife, he said no. At that I said to him then call me! and I will come over and defend her.

How do you know when your spouse is cheating on you?
by Thegoodgirl inokay, i know this is personal, but i kind of like the annoninimity of the board versus asking my friends who are all also friends with my husband.. my husband went out of the country with a group from work this weekend.
i was supposed to go but had to cancel due to other stuff.
it turned out only 4 ended up going, my husband, a guy, and two women.

Hay honey I am a man and have dated many women in my life and I have been in that situation many times, I don't have to have sex just because its there or the women wants it.
It could be young guys who can get it up if they see two dogs ding it, but still if a guy has is strong in him self and just has some back bone (no pun intended) he don't need to hump just case its there.
Babe he did not do it, you know your man, just cause he is next to some cake he won't eat it, again no pun intended).

Anyone here a lawyer that knows about liability of property
by kls in.
this is what i need to know , i have 18 acres and my son who is 26 asked me if he friend could come here and ride his 4 wheeler, well i said no not till the ground gets hard .
then i started to think when i had horses i was careful and had people sign an agreement that if they were hurt riding on my property that they would not sue me for injuries, my question is if i had my son's friend sign a contract not to sue me in case of injury would that hold up if he would get hurt or would a contract just be worthless and i probably should just tell my son and his friend no, its not worth getting sued over.. .

I am not a attorney or under the guidance of an attorney I am a trained lay paralegal. Your reference to signing a agreement is not enough, such an agreement can always be challenged in a court of law from a good tort attorney. Most attorneys would agree that an affidavit where a notary public notarizes the agreement, and that there also be an agreement that is signed by three people known by both of you ( that you both know of) the person that he would not litigate against in the event of a injury, would help to give your attorney more leverage to aid you in the event of litigation. Remeber if there is a claim of injury, from this person rideing his ATV on your property no matter what" warnings you post on your land, he WILL have more attorney's flocking to his side than bees to honey, they could possibly lay a claim to your land to pay for his damages medical and so on not to mention the attorney's compensations, do you want to risk this? Its all BS and a coverup, they are seeking to keep up with other relgions who say the same about them selfs, like the Mormons and the one that has been on the TV the past few week I can't remember their name but they say: "no matter who you are your welcome"; and I bet this religion really is like this what a switch.

In all conscious maters, to name just a few: Birthdays, Christmas, Blood, 4th of July celebrations, Working for the government in their armed service branches and their by employment, Hair stiles, Parties in ones own home or at work, school extra curricular activities, Halloween, New years day, Attending outside funerals that are in a church, Being close your friends or those living next to you, Attending block parties, Voting, (Talking to ones family members who are disfellowshiped and incidentally the Bible Students do not teach or (condone) most of these teachings and ideas about disfellowshiping and many others of these mentioned above.) Sword of Jah: "There are many aspects to the work of a Prophet: It could be to prophesy, but it could also be to spread Jehovah's message. The quote you posted says the "Prophet" refers to "they are known as Jehovah's Christian witnesses". I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I certainly do not prophesy, but I do preach the good news." PinTail: The Governing Body claims to be also a Prophet in these last days to the rank and file it is concerning this I write the following reasoning:
Sword:
"IDENTIFYING THE "PROPHET" Watchtower April 1 1997
These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is this prophet? ... This "prophet" was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah's Christian witnesses. ... Of course, it is easy to say that this group acts as a "prophet" of God. It is another thing to prove it. The only way that this can be done is to review the record." Pinail: One must also define a prophet in accepted terms that are untarnished by the spin of Jehovah's Witness's that they use so affectively to protect their influence on their rank and file. Many times the Witness seek to subtly insult the intelligence of the rank and file by dissecting words into meaning to fit their own devices and goals. Sword you belong to a religion that says out right," that they are as group ARE a prophet. If I told you that I and my friends were as a group acceptable in Jehovah's eyes as being called a prophet but I could not prove it by my history or by the scriptures but only by the way I interpret, the subject of being a prophet, would you honestly really believe me, and feel closer to Jehovah by serving our God under the control or direct influence of me. This is not a matter of having lack a of faith in Jehovah at all, it is "making sure of all things holding fast to what is true" and being reasonable. You know what the truth is concerning this. Let it be known that the I do believe the Bible Students in those early days {were for the most part} teaching a reasonable truth some of what the taught was a little off base but they did not and still don't claim to be a prophet at that time or now, and they are much more reasonable with them self's and the the flock of brothers and sisters than the witness's are now, and they still are; because of this I do respect them and find them much more Christ like in matters of tretment of the sheep which tells you a lot. Who will partake this year/tonight of the wine and bread?
by PinTail ini remember being told if you partake of the emblems and not be of the anointed the bad things will happen you or at the very least christ will be real made at you.
i have always believed the witness's to be presumptuous on their part of this issue to make such a statement, who are they to say who should and who should not.
does not the bible/christ, say to do this always in remembrance of me, concerning his followers are we not his followers?

I made my own emblems and got my own wine...
by PinTail inyes, i made my own emblems except for the wine i got it out at the licker store, it was some good red wine we both drank it all during our little service, nothing added red wine, which is hard to find now days but i feel jesus understands, the witness's make big stink about it.
you know the bread is not half bad, we ate it all up like my wife said during the ceremony the apostles were eating supper so why would only eat a litter bit i am sure they were hungery spo they would not just eat a measly little piece like they do at the witness meetinngs.
i just put some flour in a bowl and added some water and whipped it up and dubbed it on a pizza pan and cooked it till it was rubbery to the touch of course i used some "pam" on the pizza pan first becase i did not have olive oil like they used.

Hi Annie what a nice name, well your right about using the word emblems that is a term the witness use, and I want to get away from their dogma cause that is what most all of it seems to be is "Dogma".
I felt a warmth in my home after my communion, and I whish to feel it again I don't know if I should do it more often or not, I guess I will send a e-mail to the Bible Students" cause they are ones who helped me break away from the foolishness of the witness's / society / publishing company...
Personally I like the old way that the witness's worshiped as outlined by the Bible Students" they don't make a big deal of things that should properly be a conscious matter.

All and all it was a good thing, because now I know what I have been missing for fifty years all because of the fear instilled by the witness's that if I ate of it I may get a curse or some nasty thing on me. but now I feel like I am doing the right thing, and I will not stop it has opened up a new sense of spiritual awareness and faith in Jesus and what he has done for me and the whole family of man, I guess that is why he commanded for his followers to do this ceremony, and keep it up.
