  Simon, the issue in my argument is not about WT integrity compared to a standard. My only point is that in the US, as any other church does (good or bad), the WT is entitled to church/ penitent privilege based on present SC interpretation of the 1st Amendment.

  Seems to me from the posts and the answers to my questions that posters on this thread ((except Data Dog) do not care about child abuse not being reported to statutory authorities by the church as long as conditions are met and that WT does not qualify for the provisions because they do not meet a standard of required condition.
  

  So, I conclude that, in terms of reporting child abuse to Caesar, people (posters) do not care about children in general (except Data dog, you, because you have expressed hate of all churches and vidiot , and maybe some others but that is what I have read) but that conditions are met to qualify, and that means that the church does not have to report child abuse if they meet church penitent conditions

  Is it fair to say then, that in child abuse confessions to a JW elder, if JW would change their Judicial Commitees who's purpose is to judge a sinner (not to grant absolution) and involve 3 or more elders and sometimes witnesses and keep files and report to the WT, but instead respect the privacy and confidentiality of the PENITENT by not involving so many people inside the church but rather that the communication be kept STRICTLY PRIVATE. And I mean only the elder, the penitent and God and that is it, that you would respect the confidentiality and privacy of communication should not be disclosed to anyone whatsover inside or outside the church but that it is sacred sort of speak between God the penitent and the JW elder. (JW do not grant absolution but is this fair enough?) or you just do not want JW to enjoy the privilege of confidentiality in child abuse cases.

  Joe, do you think that the church should qualify for priest/penitent confidentiality privilige in child abuse cases if the confession it is kept private: no judicial comitees, no WT legal department, no bunch of elders hearing about the confession and it is strictly confidential between priest and penitent ONLY?

  When any person wants to report a crime or file a complaint, etc, he can either report it to the police or government agency directly or he can choose to call his lawyer for legal advice and follow the advice of his lawyer.

  When CA reporting is state law, church elders can choose to contact their lawyers (WT legal who are also church ministers) and still meet the church penitent conditions for confidentiality, and follow their lawyers advice.

  Whatever the legal consequences that could result from doing that is being handled by the lawyers who gave legal advice.

  Some people do not like that, but it does not make a difference what people like. Caesar has the authority and power to legislate (and choose to enforce if he wishes) what the church shall or shall not do, and the church must obey Caesar (Not what people like the church to do) but by the same token the church enjoys freedom of worship in the US in-spite of what people like the church to do..

  Does Caesar care more about the little children than the WT ?

  WT should care more and it is the spiritual duty of shepherds to protect the sheep. But we are tallking about liability and legal responsibility to provide physical protection not spiritual duty.

  So why the hypocritical vilification of the Catholic Church .?

  All churches enjoy the first. Publishing allegations about the wolf guarding the hen house does not attempt to challenge RC church rights of freedom of speech (church/ penitent) NO JW whatsoever has ever aid and abet the gov to go after the Catholic church for any reason whatsoever nor have they used any means legal or otherwise to do so.
