Interesting statement regarding "this generation"

i keep up with allexperts.com, and i noticed an interesting question to "brother rando".

his statement surprised me, and i am wondering if i missed some new light along the way.. question:.

My opinion is that if the 1914 "generation" will experience Armaggedon, generation has been stretched to the maximum limit -overlapping or not. 100 years or so maxes out generation. In 2016-2017 the rubber band breaks and if the GT does not happen then generation does not make any sense to me. IT does not make sense to me now but I want to give it a couple of years. Maybe in hind sight things will add up but I cannot figure it out now.

Just my guesses. What do I know. "Interpretations belong to God."

i am going to engage on a trip to the past and share with you some of the matters that marked the beginning of the jws persecution in cuba.

you will be surprised that the pattern that was followed is very similar to what happened in other dictatorial countries.. in the cuban case, i am going to surprise you and tell you that like what happened with hitler; the wt was partially responsible for their clash and confrontation with the cuban government.

during the early 60s the revolution was fighting for survival and they were willing and ready to demolish any perceived enemy to their cause.. a prime example was their war against the catholic church that was the most influential religious entity in the country; it took the supreme leader only a few public discourses to send the vast majority of clergy packing and back to their country, in this case spain.. the jehovah’s witnesses were an insignificant minority but they over estimated their importance and displayed a belligerent attitude, it was known that this was a us based religion and an easy target to connect them with the cia.

Government was able to show that the WT was just a publishing house and that they were never registered as anything else, certainly not a religion.

That is a lie. It is a fact that the WT is a religion.

Question about the new blood card

the child is then given the new blood card which has now tightened things up with respect to lawyers etc.

Nope, that depends. The "Youths who put God First" Awake proves you wrong. Also, in the USA when someone is bleeding to imminent death, do you think that the 24/7 set up Court has time to decide and rule? Please post more information about these 24/7 Courts. I would like to learn about them

Can he or she still me made ward of court?

No time for that while an unconcious minor is bleeding "to death". Seems to me that a judge has the power and authority to determine that a minor is mature enough OR NOT to make such a (BLOOD) decision if the minor or child is conscious. I cannot see a hospital not request for judicial intervention to give blood to an unconscious minor. Cannot see the hospital not giving blood to an unconcious minor based upon the medical directive. Seems to me that they will -just my guess though. I dont know how legal the directive is when it affects life and death of a minor.

I have seen judges order BT TO ADULTS (how much more a child) superseding the Directive based upon Non JW family such as spouse or sibling petition . I have also seen that the Court errs when doing so... but yes, it seems to me that as tight as the directive appears to be, it can be challenged.

A fresh look at Shunning

i have always been opposed to the practice of shunning especially for simple mistakes, especially when someone questions the 'truth' or the gb.

or elects to speak to a shunned family member or close friend.

or violates the blood ban.. even as a practicing jw i was uncomfortable with shunning.. an article caught my attention today on ritual sacrifice.

After all a DF or DA person is considered living under a death sentence in the JW world........

I think that was is an old belief as is "spiritual leprosy" used to descibe DF. The JW refer to DF as a condition. But more accurately an unrepentant sinner because that is the only reason why anyone should be df. THe DF form s77 alludes to 777 or forgiving 77x 7.

From an objective position though, there should be some way to deal with lawbreakers in any society even in JW. DF like jail or punishment or a fine is an attempt to force a lawbreaker to comply and is it serves as a warning to deter others, otherwise you would foolishly have everyone doing whatever they wanted hurting themselves an others( based upon the related rules of conduct) without any fear of punishment.

how about local anesthesia, complications during and after surgery and other concerns.

Thanks to everyone for your kind support during my recovery. 11 days now since the surgery and not fully recovered but getting there. I am really happy it is behind me now. Giordano, thanks for the info. I experienced the sailboat effect you mentioned. It has been smooth for a couple of days now.

I had the surgery. I am home recovering and very appreciative to the kind posters here. I am glad I did it. I chose the spinal anesthesia and very glad I made that choice. The anesthesiologists tried to persuade me to take general but my mind was set. They gave me an IV sedative before the spinal and I felt great.I was able to move my legs a little bit and I am happy with the anesthesia. BY the time the surgery was over I was awake, time passed fast. I recommend spinal (from this anesthesiologists he was great he used 5% lidocaine short acting versus tetracaine). Now I have to wait and see how the repair turns out.I am home now. Oh, I was also concerned about loosing my sex drive even for a moment from the anesthesia andsurgery but even immediatley after surgery I checked and it was still there.

I think that hospitals in the US make more money on GA and that is why they push it.

death at the 'memorial'

i just got the news from our former congregation in hollister, ca regarding a tragic event following the 'memorial' wednesday night.

we shared the kh with 2 spanish congos.. a couple from the spanish congregation were leaving the kh so that the next spanish congo could have their 'memorial'.

they exited the parking lot in their car when hit by an oncoming car right in front of the kh.

Only a couple a minutes ago I lay flat on my back unconscious. During the time I slowly regained consciousness and before realizing what happened to me, I found myself trying to answer this post in my mind.

I slowly began to regain consciousness. I realized that I had fainted, fell to the floor and hit my head on the bathroom tile but without realizing it this post was in my mind. What happened to me was that I had surgery and was in severe pain,I had to go to the bathroom but overwhelmed from pain and trauma collapsed.

Nothing happened to me, my skull was not cracked, no broken bones, no injuries. I felt a sensation from hitting my skull o the hard floor but not pain.

Before I managed to get up and walk back to bed it struck me that in the past on more than one occasion I was remarkably rescued from death.

I just had to get up and post this. So here I am. Assuming this post about the woman is true, I cannot figure why it happened to her, very sad.

l have a problem with this.lf adam and eve didnt sin the earth would eventually have been full to the brim with perfect human beings.then what every man gets the chop or no more sex?then on the other hand we have the jw's sayingresurrected ones will not be allowed to marry in the earthly new system.. married survivors of armageddon will remain married.

single survivors of armageddon may or may not be allowed to marry.so it seems that people reborn into new system wont be able to procreate.

and married survivors will stay married so l assume that means they can still hanky panky and have babys thats a bit unfair..the earth can only accommodate a maximum number of humans then what for the married couples.

Fisherman, what is it about God's Holy Spirit that proves, beyond doubt that he exists?

It appears to me that each individual has his own methodology for ascertaining facts. I am more skeptical than most, convinced only with striking proof -something that can be measured. I believe in subjective evidence too and I form conclusions from such evidence but they are only beliefs based on my interpretation of the evidence.

Jehovah's Holy Spirit is conclusive proof from God, you measure it yourself, same as the evidence you read about in the Bible but you do not have to read about it or have someone prove it to you like you are asking me. You will know. Here is an example. Look inside the left pocket of your pants. You know what it is inside your pocket. You know for certain.
