  by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

  why the original Court decision on document disclosure is wrong.

  Didnt wt file a motion with a higher court challenging the legality of the related document disclosure decision?

  The answer is yes, wt filed a motion; the "brief" is the legal document stating the arguments in support of the motion wt filed in the appeals court.

  In the US, the Catholic church has requested from the Supreme Court to mortgage their property in back of St. Patty's Cathedral for 100 million US dollars to pay people that were sexually abused by the clergy. The 100 million is not enough to pay for what the church owes so far -says the news.

  1 Invited in; door closed when suddenly I realized that I could not breathe from the stench comming from the filth and human waste even on the ceiling. Exhaled as much as I could, held my breath, said I have to go then ran out gasping for air and had to vomit. Got sick had to stop and go home.

  My stance is that to me that's not relevant. If you believe or not in Jesus, how is his sacrifice affected by the position in which he was murdered?

  Jesus dying on a cross+ doesn't add up. It does not fit with the irony of the Bible; take for example the copper serpent that moses lifted up in the wilderness. It wasn't on a cross. That is just one example. Cannot be explained has to be understood. It must have worked out that Jesus died on a pole. No other way could fulfill the ironic poetry of the Bible.

  even in a religious culture that advocates the murder of victims as honorable, fathers and brothers are typically the perpetrators of horrific violence against female family members whose only crime was to be the victim of another, the killing of a child by its mother stands out as particularly unnatural and depraved.such a heinous act occurred recently in sohag, egypt when a mother of a two-year-old child took the life of her child rather than protect it from violent sexual assault by its own grandfather.. a muslim mother identified only as “merfat” was awakened by screams in the middle of the night and found her father, faraj, in the act of raping her daughter.. .

  rather than acting out of a natural, protective instinct, the 23-year-old mother chose to shield her father from scandal as taught by muslim theology and sharia law.. merfat told authorities that she took her daughter, little grace ahmed, from the grandfather, placed her in a tub and held her head under water until the child drown.. alik akhmim, chief detective of the police in sohag told egyptian reporters that “traces of blood” had been found in the little girl’s anus, evidencing the degree of force and injury the child endured at the hands of her mother’s father.. this kind of act is referred to as an “honor killing” thought to place the reputation of the family above that of any individual member, and which is used to punish the victim rather than hold the perpetrator accountable.. murdering rape victims is common in countries and communities that adhere to sharia law where the crime is rarely reported for fear of exposing the family to shame.. “honor killing” is no longer limited to predominantly muslim countries or the middle east.
