The Danger of Settlements
by Tech49 ini was pondering the recent influx of lawsuits against wt, specifically in regards to the child abuse cases (ie.
conti, fessler, lopez, etc).. in each of these, wt has settled for an "undisclosed" amount, assumed to be in the millions of dollars each.
i know there are many many more cases, subject for a different thread i'm sure.. i was reading something completely unrelated a while back that mentioned the dangers of settlement agreements for a large corporation or business (not just wt).

an organization that creates an environment where so many children get hurt.
Show evidence.

Regardless of whether or not they've broken laws (what you seem to only be concerned with, and, BTW, I suspect they have broken)
If you are saying that wt has broken US laws, what laws do you suspect that wt has broken?.

That's just 'cause you haven't had any kids in your family who've been hurt by said environment.
No, it is because I disagree that wt environment is dangerous for children. And if you are saying that children are in danger of getting hurt in wt environment which is what I think that you are saying, I challenge you to prove it.

I will say though that they do break laws
But if you have legislation that shows that wt has violated US law show it.
US Legislation please.
an organization that creates an environment where so many children get hurt. Why fisherman, why?
I disagree with your feelings about wt environment.

you haven't figured that one out?
Figured what out? What have you figured out that Watchtower is doing illegally? Or is it that you don't like wt for some personsal reason? If that is how you feel, you can feel what you like and so will everybody else. But if you have legislation that shows that wt has violated US law show it.

I would like to see it crippled, though, because it sorely deserves that fate multiple times over.
Why?

penalties or fines
Is a punishment for breaking the law. What law is wt breaking?
Why do you want to cripple wt?

This is What I Would Need in Order to Believe
by cofty insometimes theists challenge atheists about what evidence would be required before they would believe.
various unlikely scenarios are offered in reply.
i have taken the bait myself in the past.. i think the correct answer is much more ordinary.

I'm sure you don't either.
Don't be do sure cofty. There is a lot that you have not seen or know about.
It is like a person who won't listen to reason, does what he wants, sees things his way, you try to to show him -but he refuses to see. He will see alright. It is something like that.
What you are saying about slavery and the horrific things that happen, those who see God also see and experience that too but don't blame God, They realize that God gave someone a lot of power and trust, someone whom he loved very dearly and that person betrayed God and God is going to stop that person but such person is causing the horror, not God. That is what the Bible says is his defense against charges against him.
