Do You Trust The News Media?
by minimus inobviously, trump doesn't.
but do you?
do you think that they are generally fair, unbiased and honest?.

The media does not have to publish truth--or at least not all of it; they publish news as the see it. What should someone informed from the media conclude? That although the story that they heard sounds credible, it ain't the whole story.

This is What I Would Need in Order to Believe
by cofty insometimes theists challenge atheists about what evidence would be required before they would believe.
various unlikely scenarios are offered in reply.
i have taken the bait myself in the past.. i think the correct answer is much more ordinary.

God's existence is not governed by cofty. Cofty's morality cannot disqualify God's existence. Cofty's views labeled by cofty as cofty's objective facts do not refute the existence of God. Cofty's not wanting to believe is disguised as cofty's modifiers.

God's existence is independent of cofty's limitations. After all, he is God and not subject to cofty.

offer objective evidence.
No you do not. And neither should God be measured by using cofty's rules of evidence because God is not physical.

I hold him up to his own claims.
Based upon coftys analytical method.
don't measure god by my standards;
That is only what cofty says but not what cofty does. And Cofty talks about god; I am refering to Jehovah of the Bible
He claims to be love but by his own definition of love he is a hypocrite.
Always using cofty's logic, arguments, and methods, and morality, and rules of evidence to qualify God's existence.

Simply because people believe God helps them doesnt make it so.
Not believing doesn't make it so either. --except for cofty. the And I did not say that belief in God is evidence of his existence.

What are some things JWs re-name to make themselves different than Christians?
by NikL injws re-name things so they seem like they are different than other religions.
(of course we know they are different but that's another story).
i was just thinking about those things where they are like most everyone else in christendom but the re-name it to seem different.. for example god forbid they have a church, it's a "kingdom hall".. they don't have pastors and deacons they have "elders" and "ministerial servants".. they don't have tithing but they will have family heads fill out a paper saying how much they can contribute on a monthly basis (not sure if there is a name for that...unless it's tithing.

sneeze a lot, and some nonJW friends say "Bless you
Not too long ago, I was at a store many many miles far away from where I live -and I sneezed. I heard the voice of a woman in back of me say: "God Bless You," in reflex I turned around to see who it was. I looked at her face and looked again and recognized her to be a girl I went to grammar school with. She did not recognize me at first but when I told her who I was, she remembered. --Isn't that something!

cofty, according to your morality, why shouldn't you allow God to be unmeasuable instead of having to measure up to your rules of evidence.
A couple of decades ago while talking to people on the street, I aproached a blind man, and not having the power to make him see, I wanted to know his view on God since obviously he must have at least tried to pray to God about his blindness -and yet there he was, blind. So, I asked him a question about God expecting his response to to be negative; to my surprise, he interjected saying: "Oh, no, God helps me!
