Witness Royalty and the last day at the "Towers"

my uber elder cousin and his wife got the "privilege" of having one last "toast" of wine at the rooftop garden at the towers in nyc since the jw's are vacating to warwick.

his oldest daughter and son in law are quite high up in the inner circle so they get invited to all the "inner circle" activities.

even though they aren't supposed to toast to anything it was pretty darn close.

If there was one party, there were thousands. There were thousands of Bethelites and friends going up there one last time. But don't picture everyone excluded and a select few special people going up there one last time at an elite event.

what can be done can be undone.

Well...., as it applies to Cat, lets theoretically consider that Catalonia was independent from Spain at some point before now ( not saying that in fact it actually was), at this time it is part of Spain and therefore it is not only up to Catalonia to vote itself out but it also depends on Spain to accept Cat independence. And it also depends on any terms and legislation that governs Spain's authority over the Catalonia region of Spain at this time affecting Cats vote for independence.

Well.... take going up to the towers roof, most JW have never been up there but if you were at bb, no big deal to go up there a thousand times. But to go to bb is a lot of work and sacrifice only to go up to towers roof. There ain't no inner circles about anything except doing more work and going to dozen of hours of meetings. Going to the Gilead grad was a special privilege and going to the annual meeting and studying the wt mag study article on Monday nights also. Hours and hours of a special program. I never saw any inner circles about anything except doing more work.

So the US ground still "belongs" to GB and the Indian ground still "belongs to England?

You misunderstood what I meant to say. All I am saying is that the colonists declared Independence but had to fight England for the land. In the case of Catalonia, the Catalonian Spaniards live there but it is still part of Spain because Spain occupies Catalonia and because of Spanish legislation vs Catalonia Declaration of Independence. Are you saying that Spain accepted their independence ? Or are you saying that all it takes is for a region of a country to be independent is to email Madrid the message: "Have we got news for you!"

Anything can happen but at this time Catalonia is part of Spain same as California is part of the US should they send the president a letter.

I am not familiar with the Spanish Constitution and how it provides for any Spanish regions to become independent from Spain. Basques wanted independence for a long time but Bilbao and the Vascongadas are still part of Spain.

( Am I missing something? Are the Catalonians independent or are they still part of Spain?)

BTW what right did india have to secede from the United Kingdom? surely we should undo all the unlawfulness that occurred when colonialism ended lol.

Neither does Catalonia, assuming that they have no grounds, and they can do whatever they want same as India and the 13 colonies -but the ground belongs to Spain - period.

I am hearing a lot of legalistic mumbo-jumbo.

Well..... tell it to the Constitution here in the US that legislation is legalistic "mumbo jumbo" when the Eminent Domain people kick you out. --By the way, if you want to fight, they have guns.

Catalan land belongs to ..

Unless you have legislation to prove otherwise, it belongs to Spain or if you want to put it another way: Catalonia belongs to all the people of Spain including the Catalanes.

Catalonia ( "Catalan") is only region of Spain. England is not a region, it is a Country made up of different regions that are part of England: same as Catalonia is part of Spain. I am politically neutral. I am only having an academic discussion with you by the way.
