The nice thing about citalopram is lesser side effects but IMHO the tricyclic AD specially amitriptyline do better with serotonin but the problem with amitriptyline is the anticholinergic side effects. For severe depression and agitation citalopram is better but for mild depression a very low dose (12.5 mg) of amitriptyline at bedtime will make the patient wake up refreshed but it causes a person to feel sleepy during the day. I’d say up to 50 mg of amitriptyline at night is also sedative euphoric but a higher dose or if taken during the day stimulates and the euphoric effect is lost but b it depends on the severity of the depression 100 mg is common. Everybody’s brain chemistry is different so diferent drugs work better on different people. Drugs hellp but counseling is also needed. The brain chemistry is out if balance and the drug isca lifesaver that keeps you from sinking but the psychiatrist can give you advice with the drug so that you can emotionally snd mentally het to a point where you can cope without the med. A person may still have depression for the rest of his life but he won’t need meds to function but this can take many many years to get to this point. But it is pissible and have seen remarkable people with endogenous depression get to this point. Let your doctor manage your depression don’t ise herbal or home remedies or try to do it on your own. Be patient and look at your depression as brain chemistry imbalance.

ANTI-DEPRESSANT medication for the last 60 years now proved to be based on poorly supported false theory
by Terry in"the chemical imbalance theory of depression is still put forward by professionals, and the serotonin theory, in particular, has formed the basis of a considerable research effort over the last few decades.
the general public widely believes that depression has been convincingly demonstrated to be the result of serotonin or other chemical abnormalities, and this belief shapes how people understand their moods, leading to a pessimistic outlook on the outcome of depression and negative expectancies about the possibility of self-regulation of mood""read: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1m92v7hb0njm2mnvnu6nv0kpnkzloe-_k4crh_wphpti/edit?usp=sharing.

Can a Bank "legally" steal your $$ ??
by Terry inwhen a bank fails, it is legal for that lending institution to perform a "bail-in" (rather than a bailout) for itself.. .
the first sign or signal to the depositor is a red flag moment easy to recognize.
the atm is "out of cash"..

Legally stealing money is not called stealing because it is not a crime. Government does this all the time such as forfeited assets, etc.

Also, clinical studies in patients suffering from depression receiving such drugs and placebo resulted in the patients receiving the drug benefited proving the efficacy of the drug.
So, antidepressants work,

Slavery
In the Bible, God is not the author of slavery. Slavery originated with humans. He worked along with it and tolerated it as with human suffering until he takes action in the future —as the Bible explains.

So you are telling me that there is nothing wrong with slavery.
I said that your views don’t matter compared to the Bible standard. Another example is sexual immorality.

Can I then beat you mercilessly
You can believe what you like. The Bible is a standard: God is good by definition and not compared to your beliefs. True, many things in the Bible agree with our senses but when your senses or beliefs or standards conflict the Bible, too bad, the Bible is still the standard for Christians. Again, have whatever views you like.
Some people may not like secular laws or ordinances legislated by lawmakers, too bad, it is the law. Also, according to your feelings you may not like the Bible standards, too bad.

No, the “attack” is on beliefs not on people.

Do you believe that this life is all there is
by Fisherman inthe bible records resurrections and there is orher evidence besides that gives hope.
what do you think, is there enough evidence to believe in another life?.
-
Fisherman
They were dead. And came back to life.
Besides the Bible, other evidence comes directly from God.
No proof = No faith.

What Name Does the New Testament Emphasize - Jehovah or Jesus?
by Vanderhoven7 init seems to me scripturally speaking, that jehovah's witnesses are emphasizing the wrong name.. it should be jesus, not jehovah.
who is the way, the truth and the life?

Obviously, the NT is about the fulfillment of Bible prophecy of the Messiah, Jesus. But it was the Great Jehovah that fulfilled prophecy by providing Jesus.
