  but for those who believe there is life after death, what do you think is the nature of final punishment?

  it seems to me scripturally speaking, that jehovah's witnesses are emphasizing the wrong name.. it should be jesus, not jehovah.

  compared to what the Father can accomplish through his Son.

  “Although I may be the Christ, the Messiah, the son of the living God

  —but—Jehovah is salvation, salvation comes from Jehovah.” That’s what is being emphasized here.

  Jesus was Jehovah by power of attorney, by proxy. ( “Blessed is he who comes in Jehovah’s name.”) “I have made your name known.”

  full name

  Funny because Yehoshua (Jesus) means Jehovah is salvation and not the man Jesus is salvation so the name Jesus comes from Jehovah. Jesus’ name is a deputy name. The great name is Jehovah.

  In other words when addressing the Christ by his name: “Good day Jehovah is salvation !” “Is your name Jehovah is salvation?”

  “babies are little enemies of God"

  If you were being subjugated and enslaved by tyrants, such tyrants would be your enemies and their children who would grow up to oppress you in your old age and their children therefore would also be your enemies. However, if your oppressors die with no one to suckseed them, you would have relief. Or your oppressors can feed your misery to their babies so they can grow strong and oppress ( for lack of a harsher word) you and your loved ones.

  sounds like wt propaganda

  I don’t think so. The JW have done a lot of work interpreting the Bible and publishing the Bible and wt commentary.

  Gehennah was a physical garbage dump. And Jesus talked about Jehovah casting souls not meriting a resurrection into Gehennah. Since the Bible assures the resurrection of the unrighteous, those cast into gehennah must not be worth saving—to God. WT has nothing to do with it.

  This is not a proper question because Jesus is God’s agent The question implies 2 separate issues. However, there is one subject only, Jehovah’s kingdom by means of his appointed king, Jesus the Messianic king of Jehovah’s kingdom. Like asking what name does the book of the kings of Israel emphasize and while it is true that Bible stories are about a particular Bible character it is fallacy and deceptive logic to suggest that it is either the Bible character or Jehovah. While we cherish and appreciate the gift, the giver of salvation and relief is Jehovah.

  Is non existence really punishment

  An atheist getting the death penalty after seeing proof that God is real can believe whatever he likes.

  Certainly a person cannot be justly sentenced to eternal death without knowing why. Therefore, somehow God must communicate with such a person at some point before his doom. Do you think walking the green mile is punishment really, knowing yiu have no hope in all eternity? The soul of suck person is garbage—to God. Sounds like punishment to me.

  For clarification WT does not teach eternal torment but eternal non existence as punishment without any hope of a resurrection: God destroys the soul of an individual as if by fire symbolized by Gehenah.

  Terry, were you married to all 4 at the same time? If they were all JW females, I hear you. According to the Bible, an overseer must be husband to one wife. Why put that in the Bible unless non overseers were married to multiple wives it seems.

  By therapist, I don’t mean necessarily the professionals you mentioned although it could be.
