i had a hunch that wt was going to do so, but this is happening quite soon.

Before the pandemic, a lot of people were calling in. I can see and end to zoom once the national emergency comes to an end because there is no longer any need for it. So people can then just call in and listen without zoom like before covid.

How Will They End 1914 Teaching?

i'm sure this has been discussed, but 1914 has to go away.

instead of, the overlapping generation teaching, they should have just ditched 1914. .

they should have done that a long time ago with 1975. it's the last of the teachings in the charles taze russell era.. i'm thinking they just will stop talking about it, and it will be out of the mind of the rank and file loyal witnesses .

I will have to read your reply about the Ransom . I’ll get back to to you. But getting back to the German brethren, how would it have been possible for them to have avoided being persecuted? What is your view?

I think of the Israelites going to war against the uncircumcised and some obviously died. I think of the three Jews thrown into the furnace instead of choosing idolatry. Paul, the early Christians, the movie, The Crucible. I don’t think Germany offered alternative military service and if someone signed they renounced their faith, they would be lying. I don’t see a way around it. In weakness, I can understand how someone could compromise to the Reich but it was the wrong thing to do. Explain what JW leadership could have done to avoid persecution of the brethren without breaking God’s laws?

I don’t know what you mean. I was responding to your implication about the faith of German Bible Students when they realized or if they realized as you assert that they didn’t have to go through all of that and when the end didn’t come when expected. I’ve implied that it more than a JW belief struggle with government
