Just recovering from a 'Mormon Mind Melt' ...

i was in town centre about an hour ago to buy a shirt and tie for an upcoming job interview when i was stopped by a youngish, clean cut american young man (20-ish) in a cheap suit.

my heart sank as i thought it was local jws.

to my slight relief, it was mormons!

Has anyone thought of the spin that the "society" will put on bethel layoffs?

first, how about a joke?.

what do you call someone who just turned apostate?.

im thinking sometime in the future the society will put a spin on what is happening similar to what has been done in the past.. they will say apostasy once again reared its ugly head in the organization and layoffs was the only way to "cleanse" the organization.. once disgruntled ones begin to use their voice, they will be forced to strike back with some spin to make all those who have the guts to complain look like they were the problem.. good theory huh?.

Bethelites are no dummies, they see whats's cooking.

After 1975 went, a large number of Bethelites left. After 1995 or so, Bethelites also left.After the turn of the century, a lot of Bethelites were sent home, besides those that left. After 2015, we have this rumor of sending Bethelites home. Bethel is not what it used to be. WT is not looking for people to stay there till death and be a burden and expense in their old age. Seems that they want a turn around of young people to experience Bethel then leave and pioneer. Out of this turn around, certain few are selected because of skills, traits or spirituality and these should stay a good long time. IF they need you they want you to stay, if they do not want you, why stay where you are not wanted. Certainly, there will be resentment. at being rejected, but not by everyone that is asked to leave. It has been posted on this Forum that WT had to request money from the cong donations and besides that, they let jw know of deficit and there is also a sense of awareness by jw that $ is tight. Betheites are insiders, they see what is going on first hand no matter how you cut or spin it.

Proof that Armageddon will come in 2020 or 2021.

somewhat just posted a link to www.jw2016.borg (remove the b ) which is an up-and-running site for 2016 dub conventions.the borg has also registered jw2017, jw2018, jw2019, and jw2020 (all .org)however, they have not reg'd jw2021.therefore, the conclusion in the title.

(a non-wt has reg'd jw2022.org)( jw2021.org is presently available, wink-wink).

first off, i'd like to state that i currently have "privileges" in the congregation and volunteer at bethel on and off throughout the year.

that's as much information as i will currently give about myself.. starting off, i think something big is coming in the form of lawsuits and bad pr.

they seem to be batting down the hatches in preparation for something the last few years and even more so the last few months.

so we all know and are seeing that as the org is taking some kind of financial beating it is being interpreted, either by design or not, that armageddon is coming any second now.

well from our vantage point we can see the only end that may be near is for the publishing company itself, wtbts, and not the world.

its sickening to hear loved ones and friends say this, that this means the desert god is coming to wipe out most of humanity.

WT changes does not have anything to do with GT, at least the Bible does not say so. But as I have posted previously in many of my posts that 100 years plus of invisible ruler-ship does not makes sense and nether does preaching to a generation of people that rejected the message who will nevertheless get resurrected anyway. I am sure JW realize this too and conclude that something must give within the next year or so because of the reasons I have stated and not because of any WT changes,
