What is your "INTUITION" about THE SECRET "law of attraction"?
by Terry inever hear somebody say, "trust your gut..."?.
or, like obe wan kenobe: "trust your feelings...."?.
have you ever followed that "little voice" that whispers to you that you should or should not do something?.

I do not believe in intuition. I think it is bunk and should not be trusted prima facie. I do believe in a subconscious; the brain processes information faster than a person is aware of and uses reasons a person is not aware of, then motivating a person. But there is something physical about a person that is attractive to another person, many times subconsciously so - but that ain't intuition or is it? -

"New light"?
by winstonchurchill inhttps://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/watchtower-study-june-2016/man-with-inkhorn/.
so i guess baptism is no longer the "mark for survival".. as a matter of fact, that key aspect of the 'old light' is not even acknowledged in this article.. they are just publishing new understanding without even bothering to explain the full extent of the change, hoping nobody will remember how it was... and they may be right about that..

The JW article you linked speaks for itself, but it needs to be read.
The "man with the ink horn" scripture that you reference in your post is only one of many scriptures that describes some facet of salvation that the Bible says is to occur at Armageddon. There are also many other scriptures that explain other aspects of being saved. The teaching of salvation from God's angelic executioners is a Bible doctrine that does not depend on WT interpretation of the Bible.

This thread is for proof that God exists
by juandefiero inhowever, i haven't found any evidence to support that belief.. have you?
if so please, show me the evidence that god exists, and i will believe along with you.. criteria:.
(1) you must specify which god you are talking about;.

It is logical to conclude that reality has nature, or a mechanism, or dynamics.
If nothing existed until there was a change, It is logical to conclude that such change did not happen on its own, something caused it.
Nothing can exist without something being eternal. Something cannot exist with nothing being eternal. If nothing is eternal then something cannot exist. Since something exists, nothing is not eternal.
It is logical to conclude that something caused the change that resulted in the formation of the universe.
That is how I see it

Of course, a person thinking about the concept of unicorns doesn't mean that unicorns exist in the real world. The same is true of Gods.
While it might be true that believing in (mythological) unicorns or in anything that has not been measured or tested does not establish that they are real does not invalidate the existence of Jehovah by comparing belief in the existence of Gods to belief in the existence of unicorns.

What Happens To You When You Die?
by minimus inare our dead loved ones watching over us at all or are they really just gone now?
-
Fisherman
I do not believe in a torturous hell after death. I hope that death is like taking a nap.
Or going to sleep at night, you don't feel hundreds or thousands or more years pass by. It is as if time did not exist while you where asleep during a nap or many hours at night - both feel the same in sensing time. No waiting, no time gap between being awake and being dead.
Not the "fear of something after death," but the fear of being helplessly unconscious without any hope of being able to be conscious again.
What happens when you die?
ans: It appears that you don't wake up.

What do you think is the source of your consciousness? Can it be copied or transferred?
by EndofMysteries inthis seems to be a question that even scientifically is still in the air.
right now your consciousness, is it the physical part of the brain?
the electrical signals in the brain?

I don't leave posts with name calling because I don't like them. -cs

Sure you do; read the above, and if you mean to say that name calling refers to insulting the person, then cofty's post is not an offense about your person, only a remark about what you posted. I agreed with his view about your post. -

intelligence is eternal. It is one of two elements that exist in the Cosmos. The other is matter. One acts and the other is acted upon. Intelligence comes in many grades and is co-eternal with God. We all existed as intelligences before we were spirits, and we all were spirits before we were flesh - Coldsteel

Cofty is right about your post even if it was't mormon gibberish it would still be just the same, gibberish -or rubbish. Anyway, that is how I see it.

I think it's a mistake to confuse consciousness with identity. Identity is transient. It's always in a state of flux. And what makes me "me" isn't any single conscious state. Rather, it's the sum totality of my aspirations and experiences and how I relate to myself and my environment and my loved ones and my community.
It seems to me that self awareness and consciousness and experience and memory is unique and part of each identity. I think that identity is unchangeable, given, assigned, a constant, a fingerprint. Things are what they are. I do not think that identity has to experience self awareness or conciseness to exist.
There could be some way to have a person experience the illusion of someone else’s consciousness and self awareness and memory but I also think that the framework of reality cannot be changed and transferring or copying the substance that makes up a person's self awareness to someone to experience if it is only some physical substance does not transfer identity, it would be experiencing an unreality because it is the experience of some else not your own. But who knows???
It is late.
