have the many jehovahs witnesses past and present who have lost their lives by refusing blood transfusions due to the prohibition on blood tranfusions by jehovahs witnesses really got the sense of this statement ?.

So what happens when said verifiable science directly contradicts virtually every possible interpretation you could come up with?
What you mean to say is: What if verifiable science could directly contradict virtually every possible interpretation you could come up with? That is a hypothesis.
What if God communicated WITH YOU PERSONALLY in some way congruent to how the Bible says He did with Moses?

No, they didn't...
...they just conceded to use the phrase "many thousands of years".
And they had to wait until Freddy Franz kicked the bucket just to do that much.
It has always been axiomatic that since the 7th Creative day is thousands of years long (according to wt) wt also always concluded and taught that all days of creation are of equal lengths (7000 each). The Insight book, published in 1988, prior to the death of FF, says so, in fact that is what 1975 was about. What the insight book does not say is that the days are of equal lengths and the wording allows for varying lengths. However, it is in print or was in print that "yom" was or could have been millions of years old and of varying lengths. The WT are not scientists and have not taken the scientific measurements or estimates that show how old is the earth or the universe so of course they are not in the business of teaching science but regardless of how you word or describe what teaching means, the wt printed that the Creative days could have been or were millions of years old of varying lengths. It is also in print that the earth is billions of years old. One article that comes to mind talks about how looking into the sky is looking into the past because it took the light of stars millions of years to reach the earth. Who knows with certainty how old is the earth, not even science but science bases their conclusions on evidence, wt and everybody else accepts verifiable evidence.
You mean the absolute reams of evidence compiled by over a century of painstaking research by dedicated researchers in virtually every field of the natural sciences?
How insightful and forward-thinking of themWT is not in the science field, it is in the field of understanding the Bible; (verifiable) science shed's light on Bible interpretation not (speculative) science.

TD:
WT taught in the past that Genesis "Creative Days" were 7000 years each. WT also showed in wt publications how C14 dating could not be trusted... Well back in the mid 70's, scientists faked some human fossils claiming to be (trillions of years old LOL,) anyway, an article came out in the New York Times, back then, front page, exposing the fraud, Conclusion? Can't trust archeology; they are fakers, worshipers of evolution; they have an agenda. And so,as a result of that scandal, many uneducated (religious) people did not even want to consider C14 dating, totally rejecting it as untrustworthy. A person's credibility can be ruined also if such resorts to deception -but that is another topic.
But in the late 1980's, the wts changed its teaching on the length of each Creative Day to millions and millions of years -in light of the facts, and the wts also teaches now that the earth is billions of years old, also in light of the facts. Well, according to Bible chronology, the date of the flood is 2370 BCE and only a couple of thousand years earlier, the creation of Adam. Have you ever written an essay on Bible chronology "vis-a-vis" with verifiable scientific evidence? Also, what is your opinion on the Bible date of the flood, the flood, and the Bible date of the creation of Adam based on pure verifiable evidence. Coming from you it would be very interesting to read.

Another Outright Lie Published 2/17 WT
by LostGeneration inthis info is from the article "who is leading god's people today" feb 17 study edition.. to help them disseminate bible truth in various languages, zion’s watch tower tract society was legally incorporated in 1884, with brother russell as president.
* he was an outstanding student of the bible, and he fearlessly exposed as false such doctrines as the trinity and the immortality of the soul.
he discerned that christ would return invisibly and that “the appointed times of the nations” would end in 1914.. pretty sickening article overall about how badass the gb is, though this little gem is printed as well, paragraph 12. the governing body is neither inspired nor infallible.

The WTS has always published that wts is not infallible (MAKING MISTAKES, ERRONEOUS), so it is not a surprise that wts puts it in print again, but WT fallibility has always been linked with "progressive understanding" and "adjusted view" , "off by timing" in the minds of JW.; something that JW have been used to throughout the years. But now in the posted article, the wts says outright that wt can ERR on DOCTRINE.. and those words do not have the same buffered impact on the JW mind.

Nobody, including the majority of JW's even thinks about it anymore: IgG
TD,
I hear and understand what you are saying.

Is there any other possible conclusion? -TD
I don't know. But what JW have concluded on their own regardless of what WT says is that WT is backed up by Almighty God. JW say that they know this for a fact. But I feel devastated to learn that someone actually has died because of adherence to WT erroneous doctrine.

Smmidy, in the related article, the wt does not actually say that wt erred in doctrine, only that they can err in doctrine and then they direct the reader to a reference showing where WT has made adjustments on scriptural views and leaves it up to the reader to conclude.
Also in the related article, wt makes gives no reference that WT erred in Blood , organ transplants or vaccines in the past.
